QB - Shough, Rattler, Haener
RB - AK, Kendre, Neal, CEH, Taysom (ACL)
WR - Olave, Shaheed, Cooks, Means, Pettis, Wilson
TE - Juwan, Moreau (ACL) , Stoll, Holker, Matavao
OL - Fuaga, Banks, McCoy, Ruiz, Penning
OL2 - Radunz, Saldiveri, Clapp, Ezreim, Young
EDGE - Young, Granderson, Cam, Foskey, Diggs
DT - Bresee, Godchaux, Broughton, Shepherd, Bink
LB - Demario, Werner, Stutsman, Ford, Jackson, Orgi
CB - Alontae, Kool-Aid, Riley, Yiadom, Rico
S - Mathieu, Reid, Sanker, Howden, Gray
—————
Have to hand it to Mickey and Jeff, in a lot of ways this was the perfect draft. Of course much depends on Shough, but you raised the floor at literally every position (except WR).
NFL ready QB (and 3 former NFL QBs to get him up to speed)
Franchise caliber LT
Pillar at end on your odd front
Smart, tough, instinctive long term answer at safety. ST demon at worst in year one
Complete maniac as potential Demario replacement. Oklahoma’s Whit Weeks
Fiesty inside - outside corner who many people had going on day 2
Three time 1K rusher who mirrors AK down to the elbow tape
Add a young TE in the pipeline
Lottery ticket edge rusher
Every player from rounds 1-6 is legit playable this upcoming season. And this team NEEDED it badly. Cant really ask for more than that

I mean when you have holes at every position, if you don’t leave a draft improving depth that’s a problem. Mickey and Jeff should answer why the roster is so bad going into the draft

Agree with you brother Big J. Can’t let them OFF the hook, but just saying thought the draft broke nicely for us. Especially day 1 and 3
WE played with half a roster last year. Add these guys to the and there’s going to be some serious competition and feels like finally some depth
If you think Kellen can make Shough look halfway decent, I would direct YOU to take a look at the Saints 10/1 NFCS odds on DK. Weak division and 4th place schedule. Last two coaching changes we came out of nowhere to WIN the division

The book is out on Moore but we clearly have the worst roster in the division. Offense still paper thin and led by either a inexperienced qb or a vet that's trying to get out.

If you skip the actual last coaching change

Are you trying to hint Banks is going to be a LG? Because he’s not.

Wouldn’t surprise me. Mickey danced around this today but said they’re going to try to get the best 5 ON the field, which makes me believe there’s a chance. Especially since they’re going to lean on the run heavily with a rookie QB. Those are your 5 best run blockers by far.

Why do boomers sign their forum posts?

Why wouldn’t Penning be at least decent at LG next year? He was not bad at RT last season and guard is much easier to play. If Banks pans out at LT and Fuagua transitions well to RT(again, easier), then this O line can be very good.

Only the saints would draft a 3-year starting LT and bonafide stud top 10, then move him to LG ??

Jesus that roster is pathetic and this draft was pathetic too. We drafted one good player and he was a reach at 9. We wasted our second best pick on a quarterback WE ALL KNOW will never be a NFL starter. We're gonna pick top 5 again next year and go QB then, so we just wasted that pick. For what? A one year rental?
Yet, this board rejoices at the incompetence and convinces themselves that the shite sandwich they were just fed, tastes delicious. This franchise will never change and the fans deserve it.

Serious question, how is he an NFL ready QB if he sucked in college? He's a 26 year old project. That's it. The mental gymnastics this fanbase is doing to talk themselves into this pick is frightening.

Might be the worse QB and WR rooms in the nfl

The wr room isn't up to par. That's for sure.

Penning vs Radunz battle for LG

Penning plays too tall to play guard IMO. Also,

If Penning can play at the same level or a little better than last year at RT, putting Banks at LG gets your best players on the field. If Fuaga and Banks play at LT and RT, we go back to having a huge hole at LG again.
Just because Banks plays at LG this year doesn’t mean that’s his permanent position for life. Plenty of tackles play guard for a year or two before moving outside.
Playing Banks at LG gets you your best OL this year. Then next year you can let Penning walk (or sign him as depth) move Banks outside and draft or sign a guard.
I don’t know why people are so adamant that Banks can’t play guard. You get your best lineman on the field in whatever positions they can play. The issue is most people don’t think Penning can play guard.

Isn’t he basically a journeyman player? Sorry, this draft was first one without the kids. Can’t believe they’d rather go to draft parties with friends rather than listening to their dad whine about a guard

Are you upset your mock draft didn’t happen?
