Both Stutsman and Riley were in Dane Brugler's top 100 prospects. (87 & 95)

Daneil Jeremiah had Stutsman at #92 and Riley at #113

The two 4th round picks were rated higher than our 3rd round picks. At least on the NFL draft’s evaluation website. That’s not necessarily the Saint’s own evaluation

I noticed that. Broughton was the real outlier. Sanker was in most everyone's top 100 prospects, usually in the 90s, but I can't find any pundit who had Broughton rated in the top 100. Most had near the end of the top 150. I think the Saints reached for Broughton because it was a position of need.

I love the 2 fourth rounders.

I think Riley might end up being the steal of the saints draft.

You might be right about Riley. I was kind of hoping for WR Jalen Royals in that spot, but after passing on Azareye'h Thomas in rnd 3 to take Vernon Broughton, finding a CB of Riley's caliber at #131 makes up for it. Excellent value pick

What’s the deal with Will Johnson? Figured we take a flyer on him at 113…

Edit: Nm, thought I saw him as best available in the 4th

The Saints new DL coach Bo Davis coached Broughton at Texas, this is why he was selected so high by the Saints.

Both highly productive, too. Seem like a couple of dogs who will compete fast.

Azareyeh Thomas is going to be a starter for a long time. Been following him since high school. Lsu recruited him heavily.

I've already said the chiefs got a steal with royals. This draft wasn't as great at the top but has some really good players available in the 3rd,4th, and 5th rounds.

Revel would have been the better gamble in the third.

Isn't there some kind of injury issue with him?

ETA: Just checked. Torn ACL in September. Wonder if he'll be ready to go for training camp?
