In the world of things I care about, this is not one of them.
They could have complied at any time and also not fueled the fires themselves.
But yeah, let us act like the Davidians were all great people and government bad,

I’ve got the feeling like 99.9% of all videos posted on social media that some prior context is missing. We have no idea if he tried to politely engage the parent(s) of the screaming child first and was met with a verbal attack that eventually set him off.

From the wiki of those that read

the Branch Davidians had started the fire, citing evidence from audio surveillance recordings of very specific discussions between Koresh and others about pouring more fuel on piles of hay as the fires started, and from aerial footage showing at least three simultaneous ignition points at different locations in the building comple

I’d bet most were. And if you don’t think “government bad,” well.
Blesss your heart.

Some of us cared about the federal government abusing their power and unleashing military tanks on US civilians.

Sad thing is the whole thing could have been avoided. Pick the guy up going for a walk or something.
ATF wanted to make it a spectacle and in return got a lot of people killed. Should have called off the raid when the Davidians knew they were coming.
Oklahoma City more than likely would have never happened if Waco didn’t. McVeigh was at Waco protesting and the ATF offices responsible for Waco were at the Murrah building in Ok City.
