I don’t think Microsoft flight sim and a lucky barrel roll makes you “talented” to be a “good pilot”

It’s a sad indirect commentary on society that so many men resonate with this story.
I watched band of brothers the other day and the shite really depressed me for a couple of days. I had to continually remind myself that war was hell on earth, but man those guys lived a hell of a life. Well never experience anything like that.

Sounds like a typical OT baw!

There was the guy in Mississippi, I think.
He somehow put it down in a field. Then died in federal custody a few months later. Wild

Sky King was a name of a TV program in the late fifties. The program dealt with a plane called Sky King and I think that the plane was used to apprehend the bad guys.

Was there another guy that stole a plane and crashed it more recently?
You may be thinking about a kid from North Carolina who stole a Cessna 172 from Addison Airport in January. Intentionally crashed it about an hour and s half later.

"About right now you'll probably realize that I’m not going to listen to y’all's instructions and I’m just heading to East Texas," he said, according to ATC recordings obtained by NBC News. "I’m going to pull the comm 1 circuit breaker and the comm 2 circuit breaker right here soon, as soon as I unkey the mic."

The most striking thing was ATC and the Skyking bonding briefly over the beauty of Rainier and the Olympic mountains.

For the love of Jimmy Buffett ...
He was "writing FAN letters to Sky KING AND PENNY."

I’ll give you ‘fan’ but he definitely says ‘sky’s niece’
