Life in America truly is a guaranteed win for women who are at least semi-attractive and up.

I think Adam gave her the Carolla Drinks business to run and she did at least one podcast with a friend of hers but it didn’t last long because the NJ accents were so annoying. Lynette liked to take trips to see Bruce Springsteen in concert all across the country. Meanwhile, Adam was waking up at 4:00AM to catch a Southwest flight to a weekend standup gig. Adam owns houses in La Quinata (spelling) and Malibu as well as a couple of warehouses to house his cars, fabricating shop, and podcast studio. I think his cars are mostly those he actually races so maybe not as expensive as you’d think. I think he got tired of not feeling respected or appreciated in the marriage and she probably felt he wasn’t a good, loving partner.

Damn, it seems like you know them personally .

z Let's just say say, if you go back further than the pilot of Hee Haw, Bammers and LSU fans will not get the reference. Hell, UGA fans will probably start running down the genealogy of their mascots.

King of England several hundred years ago. Kept marrying women who wouldn’t bare him a son and the Catholic Church didn’t allow divorces so he fraudulently accused them of having affairs and then had them killed.

LOL! No, just an active listener of a couple of his podcasts for a few years. He’s pretty open on his shows and you can tell some stories and complaints are about Lynette even though he doesn’t mention her name. Adam has an interesting mix of self confidence but also low self esteem.

 wonder what this consists of

I was listening the carcast podcast pretty regular when he made the Paul Newman documentary. Carolla owned a couple of Newman's race cars. Bob Sharp was the team owner. When Corolla interviewed him Sharp gave Adam a bunch of helmets, race suits , stuff like that that he had been saving. The Newman doc is pretty well done I think. They have a couple others. Willie T Ribs is one.

Edited to spell Bob Sharps name correctly.

Splitting half the assets is whatever after being married that long, but why is spousal support still a thing in 2024?

Because women are fierce and independent and don’t need men, and also helpless without alimony and preferential treatment from courts.

It’s 2024, why is some spousal support for life? Only going by her request of for life.

The article said $150k in Paul Newman memorabilia. One car associated with PN would hit the $150k in value, depending on the car.

spousal support for the rest of her life

That's the most ridiculous shite I've ever heard. America needs a serious overhaul when it comes to shite like this. IN no way should you have to support someone you aren't married to FOR THE REST OF THEIR frickING LIFE. Honestly, I'd be good if alimony didn't exist at all, but it's whatever as long as it's only for a short period.

Wasn't if Chris Rock that had the great bit about alimony?

Yup....I'm accustomed to this...

With that much money, you fly the coop, and lock up your assets like Fort Knox. Move to a tropical island somewhere, arm yourself to the teeth, and tell em to come find you for the "spousal support". Make em actually work for it.

If I was wealthy I’d never get married. Too many women are willing to fake a marriage for years only to take you to the cleaners

He was racing one of the 280z turbo cars. And I think he had a Sharp 510 as well. Ran them in the vintage races. A couple unique Lambos as well.

If it wasn't for shitty divorce laws in this country, we wouldn't have dozens of great true crime podcasts or entire networks dedicated to 24/7 storytelling about men that killed wives to avoid financial ruin...
