Advice on where I go dump some trash around Baton Rouge

I just bought a new washer and mattress and was wondering if there is anywhere around BR I can dump the old ones? Any landfills around open to the public?

If you put the washer and dryer on the street the night before garbage pickup, they'll be gone before the trash man comes by.

Shenandoah is well known as a little slice of Portland with its bohemian attitude. They love to recycle and create funky art out of discarded items. Just leave your unwanted material on any corner in the neighborhood and someone will put it to good use.

I see tons of trash out in Livingston if that isn't too far.

There is a landfill just off of 30 between Stadium Dr and N. Stadium Rd. Use the W. Stadium Rd. entrance.

Just drive into gardere or anywhere north of Florida and just pull over and dump it out. Will fit right in and nobody will notice.

Ask the latino dudes cutting your grass. They'll take em off your hands.

Eaton St. It'll blend right in.

Colonial/BFI/Waste Management Landfill in Sorrento. Take the HWY 22 exit off the interstate, go right, then left on HWY 70. The Landfill will be a few miles on your left. They'll charge around $30 per pickup bed load.
6:00-4:00 7 days a week

(or find an open dumpster off Choctaw or in the Industriplex)

North baton rouge landfill in zachary. Free for residents of EBR.

Just dump it at any major intersection around EBR such as Siegen/Airline - it'll fall on top and through the mounds of cigarette butts, loaded diapers, chip bags, beer bottles, and other litter thrown out. Nobody in this town gives a flying frick about littering.

Baton Rouge is pretty good about picking up trash. I've left appliances out by the road and they've always picked them up, if some scavenger didn't get it first.

People who've never traveled outside the South Louisiana area have no idea how much cleaner most of the rest of the country is. I notice the trash and poor road conditions most when returning from vacations.
