Idiots in overpowered bass boats that don’t know what they are doing. RIP

Funny you say that, fishing a 60 boat tournament we get to our spot and second cast catch a 4lber, boat pulls up at the spot and say's "you're fishing in our spot" told him he needs get a faster boat.

Stayed in said spot all day, took first and lunker. Came home with a 2,500 dollar check.

Let the rest of us recreational peasants know when you and the tourney guys are on the water so that you can go 80 or such. Hell close the lake down for the tourney itself.

I bet you used a tv screen / fish finder though.

In some ways you’re no different then a fool in a Charger or Challenger driving too fast.

My uncle fishes on the MLF Tour and was a couple hundred yards away when it happened. He called 911 and tried to render aid as best he could. He was pretty shaken up by it. He said the fog was crazy yesterday morning

saw article in magazine a dock had come loose from bank and was partially submerged they were saying that motor leash probably saved his life.

This. The dock broke loose in a storm. It was just below the surface and couldn’t be seen.

Simple device prevents the motor from coming back in the boat with you. Saved Wes Logan’s life and might have saved this dude’s life.

Heard someone say there is video of the wreck. Guessing the bass tourney guy had a GoPro going. Most of them do these days.

J Lee was close and first on the scene. He supposedly has video.

No thanks, do not want to see.

I hate any and all commercialization of hunting and fishing.

If the reports about running wide open in fog are accurate,

People don't take boat safety seriously enough. Bassholes are the worst of the worst.

Nope, we actually scouted the area two days before the tournament….

I don’t know if you know this, but those guys who fish these tournaments actually work before the event, they’re not that good because they’re lucky. A lot of time and effort goes to winning bass tournaments… BASS, FLW and MLF guys usually pre fish the area three days before the start of the event

This particular tournament was in Caernarvon, so a fish finder is pretty useless. We do use a GPS though, is that ok with you?

I’m 60 years old, I’ve been driving boats since I was 10, and I knew that area well….I get accidents happen, but I’ve fished 100s of bass tournaments and have never seen one accident during any of those tournaments.
