The only one that really bothers me is this one…
Beth Mowins is just terrible. Her accent, coupled with the sound of her voice, is like nails on a chalkboard. The worst is the way she says “yards”. Every time she says it I cringe. And she says it literally every play.

In general IDGAF, but that husky-voiced chick ESPN has doing play-by-play football has annoyed me for over a decade now
She sounds like a woman doing an impression of a man doing a radio play by play. I don’t doubt she works hard but her voice and vocal mannerisms are Terrible.

Stephen A Smith, Dick Vitale, Cris Collingsworth, Joe Buck, etc.
If you’re not complaining about them in the same breath.

It’s always been there. Sports journalists were just journalism majors years ago who got jobs reporting sports. It became a whole new branch of news beyond the news guys of the 1970’s.
Linda Cohn. Suzy Kolber. To name two.
I believe I saw a video of Karl Ravech (sp?) reporting for Fox during 9/11. One of those “as it happened” videos. He was just a guy on FoxNews I believe doing a morning talking head show. Probably still talking about Florida and hanging chads and Bush vs. Gore. When 9/11 started happening as they reported.

It's a better resume than "I grew up with four brothers and watching all the sports games on TV, and I'm pretty and I like to talk a lot".

Beth Mowins is a baseball style announcer. Her style doesn't fit football. Period. Even if she was a man. Beth has no place doing football play-by-play and her gender has absolutely nothing to do with it. She's awful.
