Allen Edmonds shoes true to size?

Looking to purchase a pair of Allen Edmonds (their anniversary sale ends at the end of the month). Never owned a pair. For those that own them, do y'all have the same size as running shoes like Asics, Brooks, On Clouds. Should I size up/down?

They have these things called shoe stores. I heard a rumor they have people that will fit your foot to the shoe brand.

Go to the store in Canal Place and try them on! Seriously.

The Allen Edmonds size will be lower. I wear 12 in a sneaker and a 10.5 wide in AE.
Be prepared. AE looks great and will last but they are not comfortable shoes. I’m talking about the all leather soles.

You conveniently left out your shoe size. What are you trying to hide here?

I have the Grafton boots and they are a size too big. I am an 11 but could have went 10.
I have a pair of the tennis shoes and they fit.
On the site it tells you if they run big or not.

I have a few pair of dress shoes from AE and just ordered my regular size.

I’m a size 11 1/2-12 in most shoes. For the AE Park Avenue and Fifth Avenue, I went with sizes 12. I think the Fifth Avenues are looser than the Park Avenues. The AE bit loafers I have are also size 12s, but they are a little too loose, should have sized down in those.
As others have said, the real leather shoes take lots of time to get comfortable. I have leather soled Fifth Avenues that I own, and these are more comfortable than the daynite soled Park Avenue pair I have.

Just go with the 350's. They are a universal fit.

Order multiple sizes. Keep one. Send the rest back.

Allen Edmonds are true to size and very comfortable for dress shoes

I wear size 10D, shoes, boots, chukka. I have 12 pair of AE shoes, some w/leather soles, some w/Dainite, some w/combo leather & rubber, all bought on sale. They all fit, and all are very comfortable…

This. I can J&M all day, no problem but my two pair of AE's suck in the comfort department. I have a good friend who says just the opposite with the brands. You may want to try them on in a store if you can.

Don't agree with this at all. I've got 4 leather sole pairs and one danite sole pair, and they're all extremely comfortable.

You need to get your "normal" shoe size (ie, non athletic/running shoes) which I'd assume will be a size down.
I think most dudes have two "normal" sizes - running shoes and everything else. AE is true to size for me in the sense that it's what I wear in everything that isn't an athletic/running shoe.
I wear a 14 in Brooks and On (and Asics/Mizuno/NB, etc.) and 13 in AE.

The ones I have had run true. I think I’ve got about 5 pairs of them. Almost never wear them anymore - WFH most of the time.
Gives me time to post here.

Yes. The 65 last is true to size. The 1757 last (Higgins Mill, Chandler, and Patton), run a little large because the toebox is roomier since they are boots.
