I don’t think there’s any settlements there at all, but it’s definitely a sizable island. Do people go there to hunt and fish at all? Any of you guys ever been? What’s it like?

It’s a marsh and I went crabbing there one time.

That’s all I got.

The game wardens have a building there. You can enter the island to fish and crab but no commercial fishing or setting out jug line or anything like that. Also, you can only go when sun is up. No entry at night or at least legally. There used to be leases issued for trapping but I am not so sure that still goes on as there is basically no money in it. There are dams there that are very good for throwing cast net for shrimp and crabbing.

The whole thing a wildlife refuge. There is no hunting allowed. Interestingly, I've seen deer running around out there. I've always wondered what made them want to swim out to that island.
