Got my Kubota Grand L4760 for myself as a retirement gift. Love it and it runs great.

Get a grapple

I'll throw LS name out there especially in that 30+ hp range. Not sure what dealers will be convenient for you for different brands in your area though.

Stay away from Deere. All the new stuff is over engineered and they have proprietary software that makes it a PITA to repair (outside of taking it back to them)

This x 1000. I own several big Deere tractors and while they are good equipment, they eventually break down like every other brand. Parts prices are absolutely ridiculous and the newer ones require special tools and knowledge to do much more than an oil change. The over engineering has been a problem with Deere for at least 50 yrs. Always ran Deere combines, then bought a CaseIH. It's a much simpler design and requires a fraction of the time to service. Also does a better and cleaner job harvesting. Deere ain't what they used to be and I'll be happy when I hang it up and never enter another Deere dealership.

I will weigh in for Kubota too. My dad bought ours in 1995 and it has required little, if anything, beyond routine maintenance and runs pretty much like it did 20 years ago. We use it mainly for bushhogging, finish mowing, discing, and the occasional hayride.

How are the Kubota zero turns?

We have (2) ZD1211. one 72" and one 60". Those things are beasts. We absolutely put them through hell. Of course we have to stay on the maintenance and upkeep but they are awesome IMO. We cut everything from St Aug to brush with them. I use them to clear MTB trails. Animals.

Kubota has a problem with the fuel filters clogging up constantly. The three point hitch controls on Kubota are probably the worst of any tractor brand. The joysticks for their front end loaders are crap. The excavators they make run hot.

An old JD 790 will last forever. Case is a decent tractor at that size.

Kioti is the lowest price with the most options.

Got a 1025R JD mostly use it to gut my grass and to bucket stuff around. Have a Kubota L4701 for the heavy bush hogging. Prefer the Kubota.

I have a Kubota 3901 with the third function grapple. You can do some serious clearing with it. That itself was worth the purchase of the tractor.

Seals in Woodville had it to where you could avoid state sale taxes during the purchase. Saved thousands. That Couida changed since 3 years ago.

Lots of people swear by them. Summit has more top end features for less money though....all of the "off" brand tractors are almost identical in everything but price.

Kubota and get the insurance with it. I put a 70hp cab and air in my pond one night and got a brand new machine 3 weeks later.

This! Rats got into my less-than-2-year-old Kubota's wiring harness recently and it cost me $250 to have it completely re-done. The insurance absolutely paid for itself already...

Had one at a job one time and I honestly had no complaints with it.

I have 2 old fords around 50+ years old that were my grandfathers and now mine. One I need the engine rebuilt the other runs great but I’ll be buying a new tractor next year and I’m looking at getting a kibota

The fords are 2000 and 1900 models

My whole young life, I grew up wanting a John Deere, i felt like i had passed a milestone when i got my first one, after multiple annoying issues, i got a second one 4 years later, also multiple issues, so on to the third and most expensive one, all of which were purchased new. After 12 total years of annoying issues, i bought by first kubota. I spent the whole first year mad at myself for not realizing how superior it was and wasting 12 years on a childhood fascination. If you are buying a tractor under 100HP, the Kubota is so much more superior to its competition its laughable.

Kubota and Deere are going to be slightly better machines, but Mahindra is a great bang for your buck in that size.

Red Dirt Tractors in Alexandria has great prices on Mahindras. You can get a 25hp 4WD with front end loader for under $20k.

Massey. Have had one for 13 years, never an issue.

JD and K think too highly of their paint color.

Keep the reviews and information coming. I am looking for a new tractor myself so this is a great thread of info.

Might want a mini skid steer also, they look handy for smaller jobs.
