Anybody ever made a mistake and went to Disney/Universal Studios during pride month?

My wife and I are taking our son to Orlando for the first time from June 4-June 10. We are going to Universal/Island of Adventure on Monday the 5th and Disney parks Tuesday 6th-Thursday 9th.
I forgot about pride month in June at Disney/Universal studios and I was telling myself
The last few days I have been
My friend who finds this hilarious told me that June 1st-June 4th are the gay days at each park. He said when we start our week on that Monday 5th, we should be in the clear from the gay celebrations at the parks. I feel better knowing the big gay days will be over when we go there.
I know there will probably be rainbow colors and shite but at least the worst part of it will be over. I wanted to go at the end of May when my son got out of school but all the weeks were taken. I’m now expecting the parks to look like the gay clothing sections at Target. Has anybody been to Disney/Universal during pride month and how bad is it?

No, but it seems every year LSU made it to Atlanta it was their gay pride weekend, with a gay parade and everything. Some type of comicon type shite going on too. Didn't see any of that this past year though.

Friend of mine did a few years ago. When they got home he wrote Disney and complained. They sent him comp tickets but the tickets were only good that calendar year.

I haven't been to Disney World since 2012.
First, they came for the Maelstrom.
Then, they came for the France movie.
Next, they came for Test Track, Splash Mountain, Jungle Cruise, the Fireworks Announcement, and pretty much everything.
Then, they got rid of fastpass and forced everyone to buy Genie Plus (which doesn't even cover all rides).
(And their horrid movies and political stuff goes without saying.)
Yeah, I don't think I am ever returning.

If you go to Disney you’re a pride supporter

There's gay shite all over the place there no matter what time you go but it's all just rainbow stuff.
When my kids ask about it I just say it's for confused people.

I've been to the parks during gay days a couple times.
It was pretty much the same as always except for more dudes and less fatties. Do you think they have orgies in the middle of Epcot or something?

Yes, we went in June 2011 - it wasn’t that bad
It was actually more gay when we went in March 2022 - rainbow merch everywhere
But you can really ignore it
ETA: well maybe not during Pride month

Just be sure to tell your kids if they don't like something or they think something is stupid, just don't say.."That's Gay"...tell 'em to find another phrase for those days

Don't act like that would be beneath them or something!

yes and no.
Disney employs 200,000+ people in Florida.
There are probably a million more that are employed by association.
Do you really think those employees are all pride supporters?
Among those employees are a ton of my friends and family, and I can tell you very matter of factly that its about 99% conservative vs 1% wacko lefty.

While in college, I made the mistake of going to Pcola beach on Memorial Day weekend. It was in the 90's, before it was a promoted/known thing. I even invited some of my college buddies from up north down for the weekend. I had bragged about southern girls being hotter than yankee girls, etc.
I will never forget my friend's comment when we walked out to the beach. He said, "there sure are a lot of dudes, here." We left very quickly.

Are you worried that you and/or your son will catch the gay?
Just go about your business and no one will try to plug your cornhole before you give them the green light

I'll be there at the same time: expecting the worst with the heat and lines. If all I get out of this is Velocicoaster, I'll still consider it a win

I’m not worried about us catching the gays but I really don’t want to see the circus if it’s like other gay parades
Like I said, I have never been during pride month and I don’t know what to expect.

I only wanted to do Universal/Island of Adventure and use the extra money on express pass to skip the lines because I really didn’t want to use genie plus and the new system at Disney. The last month I have watched all the videos on how to use genie plus so I’m ready to get lightning lanes and virtual queues lol. Yes it will be hot as hell and I’m already prepared for the long lines.
