Anybody use Healthways Fitness Your Way through Blue Cross?

You can use any fitness center enrolled in their program for $25 dollars a month. Snap, 24 Hours, and Anytimes are on there as well as Foxy's and Spectrum.
Just curious if the gyms act like asses when you show up since they're not getting your money.

We use it. Spectrum was the easiest. Wife signed tried to sign up with a Snap and couldn't get anyone to call her back and it was never staffed. So she went to anytime and do it with no problem.

Did they give her key a card to use it whenever or does she have to go when it's staffed?

Why wouldn't they get paid? I'm sure they agreed to be in that special deal.

Anytime or Snap will get paid I'm sure. The individual franchised gym wont.

I had no idea this was a thing. Thanks! This would be worth the $25 a month while traveling.
Is there a way to access the list of gyms without signing up?

I do and have never had an issue with Snap

I have used it. Get your healthways card from blue cross, bring it into gym of your choice, enroll, pay nothing to the gym. The people at the gym don't GAF.
You also get deals on supplements and workout clothes and other stuff (pedometers, etc.). Healthways will email you several times a month with offers.

Yeah, $29/ mo for Y membership. Pretty sweet deal

All the Alexandria gyms decided to quit taking it. Lasted less than a year.

The way I understood that it worked was you sign up at any of the available gyms and pay the normal gym membership fee. When you use Healthways it's $29 a month and Healthways mails you the difference in a check every month.
So if Snap is $40, Healthways would send a check reimbursing you for $11. Which means you only spent $29 a month.
Is that how it works?

Not for me. I pay $28.00 and have a membership to Calloways and anytime. Healthways takes the money directly from me and I have full access to both gyms for only one payment a month of #28.00.

No it's everywhere.
It depends which gyms are enrolled. We take it at the anytime I run in Texas. If you have Prime/silver sneakers we get reimbursed by the insurance company. $30 for the security fee and $3.10 or so per visit.
There are other reimbursement programs but I am not 100% sure on how those all work.

I use it. I think it went up to $28. I go to Anytime because it's close to my house but I know Snap and Cajun Fitness were taking the program at the time that I enrolled. I'm not sure if Snap still takes it though. BCBS reimburses the monthly fee like every 3 months if you go enough. Only bad thing is Anytime is always packed.

Yes, its pretty nice. You can join as many gyms as you want at no cost to you. I use Snap as its the most convenient. I know Lakeway in new orleans is a participant and its a really nice gym. It really just depends on the area. Worth it imo

What the hell. I've been paying 80$ a month.
Does anyone with bcbs have a healthways card?
