Anyone ever sold a used hot tub?

I just signed a contract to buy a house. We love the house but it has a hot tub in the back. It is one of those stand-alones and isn't built in.
Apparently it is a nice brand and was quite expensive, but we do not want it. I was going to get the previous owners to remove it as part of the contract, but it fell off in negotiation.
Now I'm reading we could actually sell it? Has anyone ever done that and gotten money?
Or should I just say it is free if you come pick it up?

This would be glorious.
I guess I'll post it on some websites and price it high to see if it moves.

Post it on FB marketplace with a requirement that buyer must remove it

cant help you there
post it on craigslist...whats the make model and year
do some comps via google on what they go for or just price it for what you feel you wnat to get
500-1000 older
1500-3000 newer and top of the line
Contact a local spa dealer and ask about whether they have moving services, usually subbed out...roughly 500.00 and they use whats called a spa dolly. Makes it quick and easy as long as you have rear yard access. let buyer know you have a moving company but they would have to arrange and pay.
good luck

Reminds me of Ruxin from “The League”

There are two kind of people in the world, people who have a hot tub that is in the ground and other people who are worried that a tornado is gonna take their above ground hot tub away from the trailer park that they live in.

It's pretty true normally, but this is a really nice home in a great neighborhood. The elderly couple we are buying it from just has horrific taste. The damn hot tub is right outside the back door. Huge nice patio where they could've hid it at least, but no, you walk into it outside the back sun room

Kitchen looks like an Olive Garden as well. I got them to repaint the entire place in the contract though, thank god.
They also tried to "For Sale By Owner" the place and took their own photos for the listing and they are SOOOO bad. Not surprised it didn't sell. We didn't even want to go look at it because the photos were so shitty.
But with new paint and decorating, it's going to be awesome.

Make a nice flower bed out of it.

Pro tip. Don't allow the buyer to use black light.
