Considering one for my kid’s bed. Anyone have good/bad reviews? TIA

Parents bought the Lull and loved it. Most consistent reviews when I looked seemed to be the Casper. I would have bought one but I got got by the MattressFirm on some “Unboxed” model

We purchased a Nectar mattress for a spare room. Very impressed and will buy another. Highly recommend

We bought a cheap $150 amazon basic type mattress in a box and honestly it’s been fine. It gets a little hot but is very comfortable to lay on. For the price we paid we could throw it away tomorrow and replace with another and never miss a beat. If I was buying for a kids room or a spare bedrooms that’s definitely the way I would go.

I picked up a Casper at Costco a little over a year ago. It sleeps pretty damn good for a $400 mattress.

Tuft and needle is owned by Simmons. Simmons is in bankruptcy and moved production over seas.
Every bed in a box is a bad mattress for an adult. A kid it's fine. Most have cheap polyurethane foam. Purple has fake latex. Nectar is garbage(cost 18 dollars to make a King bed, they brag about it when pitching to companies).
Most reviews are fake, or from really stupid people who do not know anything about mattresses. Of the 8 Nectars I sold this year, 5 got returned. I told the customer multiple times but people are really stupid. There is no magic mattress that tricks the system.
If a mattress last a long time, and holds its feel..the company would go bankrupt unless charging fairly for it. Production, shipping, marketing, research, etc all cost money. Bed in the box companies spend up to 200k a day on marketing(Nectar, Purple, and Casper). So common sense should tell you the materials in the beds are poor.
Let's put it this way. I know every Rep and salesman in the area pretty much now. The running joke is its "as good as a bed in a box" at this point.
You cant make a good mattress that can be vacuumed sealed. Just that simple. A 599 Sealy will last longer than every BIB in terms of consistent feel.
They trick you with shite warranties you think are good. Read the fine print. Then put two and two together. Their warranties are actually terrible. Forever warranty...but for 2 1/2 - 3inches inches of sink. So you'll be so uncomfortable you can not sleep on the bed for years before getting it to warranty viability. They rely on most people giving up far before reaching that.
No mattress last forever. Latex and Tempur material are the most durable, but will last at max 20 years for Tempur and 25 years for Latex. Tempur and Latex are 8-10 times denser than every BIB made. Logically, that should tell you all you need to know. They suck.

Bought a Tuft and Needle about 4-5 years ago. It's fine. Honestly never been able to tell a huge difference between mattresses unless it was a 20 year piece of shite that was beat all to hell.

I've held off of buying one to see what kind of longterm reviews they get.
My main concern has been how they hold up over time.

I've been sleeping on a Tuft and Needle for 5 years - very happy with it. I was a bit concerned that it might be too soft but that's not been the case at all. Would buy again.

what is your recommendation then? i realize feel will be different for most, but for instance does a stearns and foster stand out more than most? given cost vs bed in box companies.

Purchased a king size mattress from Bentwood Home.. very comfortable, so far so good.
Prior to this we had a Casper which held up for about 5 years.
I know the owner of a furniture company and he recently mentioned to me that you only get about 4 or 5 years out of most mattresses these days.

Have had a Leesa for a few years. Love it. Has worked wonders for my bad back.

Both my teens have Leesa. They are going on 5 years with two moves (one cross country and one local) and have no signs of breakdown.
Would buy for kids again without hesitation.
