The three people arrested in the Polk County murder case are a pretty good example of sanpaku eyes.
Sanpaku Eyes

quote:
According to Chinese/Japanese medical face reading, when the white part of the eye, known as the sclera, is visible beneath the iris, it represents physical imbalance in the body and is claimed to be present in alcoholics, drug addicts and people who over-consume sugar or grain. Conversely, when the upper sclera is visible it is said to be an indication of mental imbalance in people such as psychotics, murderers, and anyone rageful. In either condition, it is believed that these people attract accidents and violence.[citation needed]
In August 1963, George Ohsawa, an advocate for macrobiotics, predicted that President John F. Kennedy would experience great danger because of his sanpaku condition.[2][3]
In 1965 Ohsawa, assisted by William Dufty, wrote You Are All Sanpaku, which offers the following perspective on the condition:

You'll get some replies after everybody looks at their eyeballs

Kind of the point of the thread.

Uh, what does it mean if the upper and lower sclera are visible?
Asking for a friend.
Asking for a friend.

I know I'm not the only one going to the mirror now.

Your "friend" is a homicidal maniac. Avoid at all costs.

By those definitions, you should see the upper sclera on those 3 mugshots.

They're probably just being told to keep their head straight and look at the camera and the camera is slightly elevated.

So is this what that song Bette Davis Eyes is about?

Does that apply to people who aren't Japanese or Chinese?

Wait, the one in the middle is a chick?

In the case it's the bottom of the eyes. It reflects extreme alcohol and or drug abuse IMO. It's not a stretch that someone that abuses drugs and alcohol could be capable of murder. It doesn't necessarily mean they will commit murder.
Once you learn about Sanpaku eyes, believe me, you will start checking out peoples eyes.
