Auto Board - question about seller's disclosure obligations

Long story short, I just bought a truck for my son. Dealer came down from Hammond and delivered the truck, I signed the papers and they left. Shortly after I went to check on the temp tag and noticed damage to the rear bumper. Due to the location of the damage and the color of the truck, it's really hard to spot the damage unless you are specifically looking for it.
I went back to the dealer website and checked the pictures there and sure enough, if you look close enough you can see the damage. This was a 2023 truck with 20k miles so clearly I was not expecting there to be any damage outside of some minor nicks.
I texted the sales guy pictures and asked about it, he said they must have accepted it like that "On Trade" and that he had already shown that truck twice and never noticed the damage.
So I guess my question here is are they obligated to make it right? Do they legally have to disclose any damage at the time of sale?
Trying to see how much leverage I have here to make them fix it.

Make it right how? They had pictures, you bought it sight unseen and accepted it on delivery. Where is the "wrong?"

I mean, they don't have to tell you the problems if you don't ask. If you ask, they cannot lie.

So they had pictures of the damage, which you saw (just didn't see the damage), and you purchased it anyway, and now you're wanting them to fix the damage?
I'm no lawyer, but I'm not sure you have a leg to stand on with this unless something explicitly states in your contract that they are legally bound to fix something that they fully disclosed was there all along.
ETA: Also, they delivered it to you, and you signed the papers without ever putting eyes on the truck beforehand? You only looked at it after the dude had already left? And you STILL think they should be liable? WTF.

You expect the dealer to repair a dent on a used vehicle that you already should have inspected and agree to buy as is, and signed the papers already?

Your lack of due diligence is not the dealer's responsibility.

You have no leverage.
Its a used vehicle and they didn't do anything deceptive to try to hide the dent. Like you said, its visible in the pictures they had posted on their website.
The best hope you have is that if the dealership has an in-house body shop, maybe ask your salesman to see if they can cut you a discount on the repair cost

You really want to make them fix it? Go leave a bad Google review. They will probably fix it to get you to take the review down. With that said, if you do that you are a raging a-hole. The dealer has done nothing wrong and doesn’t owe you anything.

you did this in the incorrect order and to answer your question no...you bought the car as is (used car sales are virtually all this way) so it's your fault for not looking before signing papers. buyer beware.

It sounds cosmetic and not that big of a deal, trucks are made to get damage.

you have no leverage at all after signing the papers.
prior to purchasing, you could have attempted to negotiate pricing (or repairs) with them, but they have no legal obligation to do anything different than they did.
so either:
they fix it and mark it up more to cover their cost before selling.
they have enough profit already there to cover it and fix it at no extra charge.
they tell you this truck is being sold "as is"
then you choose whether or not to purchase it.
you gave up those options once you purchased the truck though.

The dealership isn’t going to fix anything.
Soooo.. you bought a vehicle sight unseen and it has damage….. what did you learn??

It’s always someone else’s fault isn’t it.

I thought you were SOL, and might still be but this part here could be an opening for you.

If you take the high road and be honest and ask, they may goodwill a repair.

That's why I always say, "Don't unhook the straps, until you've looked it over front to back.".
Actually, I don't always say that, I just made it up... But it applies in this situation.
