I think by law they have to laugh at you and escort you to the exit.

Let’s hear the story on why it was torn in half first

He thought he'd be able to get twice the money.

They can accept it just not reissue it to another customer. Have to turn over to the Fed as mutilated currency.

It's a money order not cash. As long as the MICR line is legible and the other information is as well they should accept it.

My bad, didn’t read thoroughly. Yea, depending on where it’s torn should be fine.

Tape it together and use the phone app to deposit the money order into your account--take the teller out of the equation and you don't have to wonder if it will be accepted or rejected. Watch your account activity for about 10 days to see if the money order was honored by the issuing financial institution.

You're supposed to wait until you finish the hit, then you'll get the other half

I saw him speak at USL in the early 80s and was fascinated by his tales. The movie didn't do justice to the stories he told. My favorite one was he was at an airport that had a night deposit drop. He rented a security guard suit and put up a sign that said the drop box was broken and to leave the deposits with the security guard. The airlines and car rental, restaurants etc. brought him bags of money

I am glad you said that about his speeches. I just watched some of them on youtube very entertaining. He does get a little serious about his life and makes his point.

Tape it back together and mobile deposit it.

As others have said, as long as the MICR line (random arrangement of numbers and symbols at the bottom) is not torn then they probably will.
But your best option is to mobile deposit it. My bank doesn’t accept money orders via mobile but check to see if yours does
