Baton Rouge Alarm Companies - Which one?

Want to get a home alarm installed soon. Seems like there are at least three local companies that I've found: Custom Security, Certified Alarms, and all others that don't matter.
Seems like Custom Security is pretty good, but I wanted to see if there are any opinions on all three. If you have service, how much is monitoring. I called my insurance, and it will save me $14 a month.

Monitoring will cost at least that per month, probably more.

I use All Safe out of BR and it's $33

I've been with Certified for several years, two different houses ( they had to install alarm in both) very satisfied.

Custom security. 35 a month. I've been happy with them. No land-line , cell only.

Custom Security customer for 12 years. Best around IMO

Custom Security and it's not even close. Be aware that the monitoring rate is negotiable if you own your equipment and they don't have to install it. Many of them offer turnkey systems that include the equipment but they're like cell phone plans--you have to commit for a couple of years and eventually you pay the same.

Agreed - one of the best. The only complaint with them is sometimes their service lead times for changing around cameras or just getting a tech onsite can get into weeks.

Custom and Certified are about $34-35 a month without a phone. $10 cheaper with a phone but what's the point if you can just cut the phone line outside? Custom will give you the cell transmitter free if you get a 3 year contract. Certified wouldn't.
