David Kade and there is no need to contact anyone else. I'm serious.

Baws don’t buy your appliances at a big box store. Use a local dealer, you may pay a little more but that local dealer will usually be there and will be responsive to your request. I purchase my major appliances at Stanton’s here in BR, N. Sherwood Forest at Choctaw. Just had my Ice maker on my Frigidaire replaced on the Friday after Thanksgiving, the gentleman was at my home at 8AM and was done and gone by 8:30 AM. Top notch.

We grew to hate all of the tech on the front loaders. Our washer lasted 3 years before it crapped out. I was quoted $600 for a repair on an $800 washer (LG).
I tossed them both and took my mom's 1990s Maytag washer she was getting rid of and bought a Speed Queen dryer. Both work far better than the front loaders.

Jeremy LeBlanc Appliance Repair. Works on everything. Very smart and very reasonable. Have used him several times for different appliances.

Samsung going to be the element or the high limit thermostat.
The element isn't that expensive. But honestly Samsung dryers can be a pain if you aren't familiar with them
14 screws is all it takes to open it up. 12 more on the element box. Isn't the hardest job but it's not a GE or Whirlpool easy open either.

My mother had a Samsung that broke. Told by two different repairmen it was one of three boards and they did not know which one it was. Each board would cost 300. What a racket

I'm not entirely inept at fixing things so I also like that I can generally repair the old style appliances myself too.
I'll never buy another set of front loaders. Even my wife hated them. The worst was the auto sensing feature on the dryer that adjusted the timer when it thought the clothes were done.
We as a society took something that had worked very well for decades and made them all complicated. Give me 2 knobs, a button and an agitator.

I learned my lesson the hard way.
The most important question to ask when buying an appliance today is the availability of replacement parts. Some parts must be sourced in China since it can be a 6 month wait.
If you find a good repairman ask him what brands to buy. He'll know.

I actually just got off the phone with Songy’s. I have a 15 yr old microwave that’s on the fritz. They were honest enough to tell me not to waste money on a repair. They also have lots of good google reviews

Exactly. Something you have a good chance repairing with a YouTube video

Yep. Give Lyle a call
Are they reasonably priced and knowledgable?

No one likes to fix microwaves. It's a lot of work just to find the problem. Unless it's an obvious switch issue (which is a cheap fix) then it's best to replace.

6 months would be insane. I'm getting 14 day lead times on parts and customers can't take it.
It's always some not really needed appliance too like a dishwasher or counter icemaker. But if the part isn't in in three days the customer is pissed. Even if you tell them two weeks.
I did get a few two month quotes on certain items but there are work around. Like how almost every washing machine can use a LG drain pump. Or that Samsung heating elements work for LG and some Whirlpool/maytag/kenmore.
When you're given a one month plus lead time on the phone it usually means you have something people don't want to work on. Like for instance I won't touch LG fridges. I think they should ask be recalled.
