Which one is better?

Define the word "better".

Both have pros and cons.
BRCC is old money, CCL is new money.
CCL is a harder course and better for elite golfers IMO, but I think BRCC is in fantastic shape and has a much more private vibe.

From what I understand BRCC is harder to get into with the excessive number of sponsors needed. But I hear it pays off in the long run as they maintain memberships well. CCL is promoting its membership to a younger demographic right now. Didn't know if they were hurting for money right now or planning to undergo renovation/construction which obviously needs additional funding. Looking to join either one in the near future.

My friend at BRCC told me they had built a nice "sports bat" not long ago and were trying to make it appeal to some of the younger members. He said it def has a lot of old crust arse annoying members

I heard yesterday 3k up front, 250/month. But you have to cut a check for the yearly amount.
ETA: for CCL
I'd join U club before I did that.

I'll give you layout, but condition easily? Come on. BRCC is in great shape. Wonderful greens.
Both are fantastic.
Golf clubhouse is tiny at BRCC. I grew up hanging out there though, so I'm partial and I think its very private and quaint and gives you everything you need.
However the rest of the club has been recently redone and is incredible. Their new sports bar/bistro and outdoor patio are fantastic.

That isn't bad compared to some of the numbers I've heard up here in Birmingham..

Junior Golf Member's initiation fee is at a steep discount. can pay over three years as well.

How do the greens compare to U club?

We had this thread like a week ago.

Easier

BRCC greens are very true, average pace, and relatively easy (minus a couple holes). I think they are slightly better conditioned than UClub (due to less use maybe), but not near as "exciting".
UClub greens can really add a bunch of strokes to your rounds, while BRCC are, in whole, much more attackable.

I've never played either, but if we're talking about living there/being a member, I'd go CCLA easily...if for no other reason than traffic around BRCC.

Except for the whole 20 miles away thing.
