Paradise Records...spent plenty off time shopping music there in the late 90's. I took Brandon Boyd from Incubus shopping there on multiple occasions before his shows at the varsity so he could buy John Zorn albums

Lyman White's Buffalo Wings on Highland. Cornbread there was outstanding!

Anybody mention the sporting goods store downtown on Government street I think. Before there were Bass Pros and academy's you had to go downtown for some shells or bait. Giant stuffed polar bear as you walked in. Forget the name of the place.

Also if not already said--Po Folks on Florida.
I remember them. My mom found a roach baked into her biscuit there.
I can still remember the smell of the bakery walking into The Real Superstore.

I can't remember but what about Note Depot on the other side of Chelsea's in the same shopping center? You could buy notes taken of any class at LSU, if you were a frequent class skipper.

Dairy Maid burger joint on McClelland
Dixie Maid. Still good.
My favorite from there was a cheeseburger and banana shake. Man I miss the late 80s/early 90s.

I remember Gibson's po boys, I graduated with Gibson's daughter. Someone mentioned Bob and Ronnies Live music but I remember Bob working at Sound City before they opened their own place. Tiger Drive In where they eventually showed porn movies. How about Frisco's, that place was the place to be in the early 80's

Bon Marche was THE mall, we shot our Estes Rockets in the field that became Cortana Mall.

Loved Fast Track. They actually have one at the chevron truck stop at the Lutcher/Gramercy exit.
Mrs Winners was the shite.
Also loved that when I was little, we lived in Monticello (80-86) before it became ghetto. It was amazing see'ing all the Christmas lights and the traffic jams in the subdivision to look at all the lights. That was also back in the day when all your neighbors would wave at you when you passed by even if they didnt know you.

Charles, not sure, but I think that clothing store was McLavey and Easterly.
I bought my first khaki Duckheads there. Good times.

Possibly Todd Garland and RFD? McLavy is still in business at Bocage and I think Frank's kids are running it now.

Wasn't he the principal at Broadmoor in the early 70's?
