Was it Club Car and Yamaha? In the market and trying to avoid the over priced Chinese shite that breaks
Or maybe EZGO?
TIA.

Also, I found a cool looking Yamaha and they say they put new acid batteries in it last year (and new wheels/tires), are acid batteries what you want or lithium?
I think lithium according to Reddit...

I'm not sure what the consensus was, but I have an '07 club car that is still going strong. I put in a lithium battery, and that baby runs like scalded dog. I recently added a rear seat so that my whole family can ride.

Club Cart and Yamaha are both nice. Any reason you don't want gas?

Don't feel like dealing with gas...would rather just have it charging in my garage. It's also quieter. For neighborhood, no real hills.

Water batteries
I have no clue what this is

It’s the original cell batteries youve always had. You have to top them off with water to keep the cells cool when running.

So any of these brands with newish 48v batteries is fine and I just top them off with water?
Out of my element when it comes to this, as you can tell.

When I visited The Villages in Florida, the cart to have is the Yamaha gas powered.

Club Car, Yamaha, and EZGO are all good brands. I've had CC & EZGO and prefer CC but it's more about preference at that point. You can't really go wrong with any of the three.
Yamaha has a really good gas model that is super quiet. It's hardly louder than the electric models but it is $$$$$.
For the electric ones, you just top the batteries off with distilled water every few months or so in the fall/winter. During the hotter season you may check them more frequently. Just be sure you're using distilled water when refilling.

I have a 2005 Yamaha gas model. Never had any problems with it and you hear the wind noise over the engine except when accelerating hard. My friends with batteries and same year have replaced 3 sets.

I’ve had an Icon electric cart for 3 years, no issues so far.

I got a 4 seater EPIC last May that has been awesome.I believe ICON owns them now. Holds battery very well and does 25. We use it to go between camps and to downtown BSL.

I have an Evolution 6 seater which all face forward. It's a mid grade+ quality. Club Car is probably a Cadillac.

Both the 36v and 48v you will likely have to top the water level off twice a year.
You just pop the cap on the battery and make sure the water is at least above the cell. It’s not hard.
