I didn't take either course, but I printed out all of the School of PE material and used it during the PE. Passed 1st time. Was really helpful.

Civil/Transportation

Testmasters class. I did nothing but attend the 11 days and passed first try.

ETA: The actual answer is whichever the company will pay for. But I liked testmasters.

LNCHBOX, PE.

I didn't know that you were an engineer, LNCHBOX. Good for you. Let's be civil engineering buddies.

NB4 "I got drunk, never studied, was done in an hour, and passed" group. To the OP, both should be effective on prepping you. See which one has the on demand option. You could probably start studying today for the Oct exam.

That's what I did for the FE.

If your office is willing to pay for one, take it. I bought some of the books recommended on engineerboards.com and studied them thoroughly. Passed on first attempt. EE

That's the idea. I submitted my package yesterday to LAPELS for October. It was easier than trying to take it in NY and trying to transfer my FE stuff up here. Doing civil/structural, though eventually I'd like to get the SE out of the way (even though it's apparently way harder than the PE).

I just finished the school of PE for the PE exam in April. My only complaint is I needed 3-4 months for the on demand course, but did it in 2. Just too much info to cram for.

That seems way overkill.

Testmasters basically teaches you the test. shite, one section in the binder is called "the borrow pit problem," and it showed up almost verbatim on the test.

If a testmasters class works with your schedule, I think it's easily the way to go. The classes started in the last week of January for the April exam, and went through the 3rd week or so of March. I couldn't imagine spending more time on it than that.

ETA: At least down here, I only had the option of taking the testmasters class early in the year, so it wouldn't be of much help for taking the PE in October.
