Looking for a place with decent prices with good products. I'm not so sure about lowes/Home Depot. Any suggestions around New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Houma?

Home Depot bought a company called Your Other Warehouse in Baton Rouge a little over a decade or so ago. It was a spinoff of LCR/The Plumbing Warehouse.
They have every faucet, light and fixture known to man and they have it at just about the best pricing.
1.) Go to Home Depot
2.) Go to Kitchen & Bath area
3.) Ask them to see the "Do Dads" Catalog
4.) Profit
YOW was a dominant player selling faucets and fixtures before HD bought them. They literally sold stock to interior designers, Coburns here locally, etc. Even HD was a massive customer before buying the company to handle their faucet/fixture/lighting special order fulfillment.

LCR is the best. There's one in BR, Nola and Houma

If you do make it to Houma, check out Valley Supply.

I've always gone with LCR for plumbing. Better quality than HD and Lowes definitely and much more knowledgeable staff, which doesn't say much.
I know little about lighting besides basic installation.

Pine Grove is a great place to get all of your lighting fixtures. I work with them on the regular, their pricing is great and can order any lighting that you need.

I'll second Valley Supply in Houma.

We went through lighting direct and I insitalled the lights myself. We saved a good bit of money.
