10 or so years ago there was (is?) one right across from the BASF plant in Geismar. It was a surreal scene, just the plant and this strip joint -- there was nothing else around.

It's still there. Dresser Rand built this huge service center right behind it. When you drive down Hwy. 30, you see Dresser Rand's big arse building and in front of it, you have the dinky little strip club.

Best strip clubs in Baton Rouge? by public_enemy

Penthouse Club, by default.

The only others of which I am aware that are "local" are Crazy Horse in Port Allen and Gold Club in Geismar.

I can's speak for any of them.

always called it Church. Sundays, bars in EBRP could not open back then, unless they sold a lot of food as well, and also there was no video poker here either. So, we could just leave the parish and hit up Top Cats or Escapades on Sunday nights and we just began calling it Church.

When I worked swing shift at the Argosy we called it the same. If a few of us could all take an e.o. at the same time we'd go to "church" because it was a place on Sunday that was actually open and not the other casino.

Was the Geismer place called Workman's Lounge? I worked a summer out a Rubicon a long time ago and all the baw's would hit it up on payday. Supposedly they would even cash your check for you.

Something along those lines. Working, Toolbox, Workshop.....i can picture the building and not the name.

There was one in Amite a few years back that also had a swimming pool. So while one chick was up dancing the main stage, the others were topless in the pool with a bunch of horny rednecks all vying for their attention.

That one is called The Mansion. I've never been but heard all about it. I don't see myself going to a strip club and ending up in a nasty arse pool but much crazier things have happened...
