I bought three pairs of on clouds. Beats New Balance and Asics by miles. I find the new balance ones I like that are comfortable are typically too bulky and heavy. These are extremely light weight and comfortable

You need the Speedgoat. Shop them online or if near one, an REI.

I'm a big fan of my OnClouds but not for running. I use them for walking and standing.
I've had them for a little over a year and wear them at work daily and they are very comfortable. Considering they are not being run in the breakdown has been a little quicker than expected, but I'd buy another pair.

I should have said I was looking for trail runners for hiking.
I think it might be hard to find an actual trail running shoe with ankle support, unless you're looking for more of a boot style for general walking/hiking.

Do Hokas have a removable insole? My foot size is 13N, but I have a custom orthotic and I go up to a 14 to accommodate it. TIA

I love my Hoka Bondi 6’s. Most comfortable walking shoe I’ve owned. It seems 1/4 of the staff in the hospital I work at has some sort of Hoka. Usually the Bondi’s or Cliftons.

The Hoka challenger is a good trail shoes but doesn’t have ankle support. I’m going on 2 years with my pair and they’ve outlasted my Asics and Brooks.
Brooks Cascadia is another good trail shoes but they don’t last long.

I’m a chronic ankle roller. I had a pair of the OCs and I rolled my ankle because the sole was a little thicker and less stable.

I’ve had two pairs of ON and they’re falling a part very easy compared to any other shoe I’ve ever had. Sent one pair back and the replacement pair is falling apart in all the same places. Next pair for me will not be ON.

Prone to ankle sprains and I hated Hokas. Brooks Beast and Brooks Ghost have been my favorites for a decade. My all time favoririte running shoes were Adidas Torsion which they stopped making a very long time ago.

How much do you weigh? I would highly recommend to NOT wear Hoka’s if you weigh over around 185. I got a pair when I weighed around 190 and they were so soft my heels sunk into them and ended up giving me a negative drop which means that my heel was lower than the ball of my foot, and it fricked my arches and knees up. I think they’re the most overrated shoe on the market

I have a pair of Hoka Bondi 6 and a pair of on cloud cloudswift. They are both comfortable, but the Hoka's are the more comfortable of the two. I do not run, but I do walk a lot, both at work and at home. I prefer the hoka. But beware. When I first got the Hoka's, because of how their made my calves would burn during and after a long walk. Never any issues with the on cloud in that regard.

For me, it’s Hoka Bondi 6, I have plantar fasciitis and a bone spur in my right heel, it feels like I’m stepping on the sharp end of a railroad spike every time I put my heel on the floor. I’ve never tried OnCloud but I have tried different versions of adidas, Nike, Sketcher, Saucony, ASICS, Brooks and 3 different doctor prescribed shoes and nothing comes close to the difference of the Hoka Bondi 6. I can’t walk the width of the bedroom without them but I can walk or work all day with them. They are thick padded but I add a pair of Sof sole or Spenco insoles also. They have changed my daily walking life.

Hoka Bondi is what I wear to run and/or walk.

Thanks for all of the good feedback.

Hokas and it’s not even close.
Hokas are really comfortable shoes, but for what they charge for them, their construction is shite.
I have had one pair come apart at the soles and another pair that squeak when I walk. The manufacturer would not do anything since they were 6 months old for the pair that separated, but the store gave me a discount toward a new pair, which squeaks when I walk.
Hokas, comfortable poorly made shoes.

I know looks aren't everything on a shoe to some people, but the Hoka shoes are so fricking ugly I'd wouldn't ever wear them.
