2 things: he’s right and you are wrong. I’ve worked with a lock system company that did hotel locks, there’s 0 reason for a hotel to monitor a door opening from the inside. The security systems are built to only allow certain users IN and then monitor which was key/ code was used to enter. Furthermore, it’s most likely Saget either went in WITH someone like a hooker or let them in.
2ndly, I’m assuming the hotel room was analyzed to some degree at his death? As in any signs of sexual activity, rough housing, etc. He just got in from a show in Jacksonville, so if he was by himself the hotel should have been barely used and normal looking.

I spent 10+ years of my life actually working for Marriott, Hilton, and IHG and accessing these systems, so I think I know more about this than some business traveler whose experience with it consists of walking to the door and sticking their key in it. I’m sorry for interrupting your adult conversation of making shite up about things you don’t understand though, by all means carry on

I have a possible explanation. He could have suffered from micturition syncope. I've experienced this a handful of times and it's scary. After regaining consciousness and being able to move I would make it back to bed sleep it off. One time I fell backwards into the bathtub and onto the spigot. I don't know how long I spent in the tub just not moving, but I know it was a while.
Bob definitely could have gotten up to pee in the middle of the night, suffered a sudden drop in blood pressure, fell onto a hard surface and hitting his head on the way down in a violent way.
