California beats out Texas and New York for the most Fortune 500 companies

California has long been a hub of economic success, and with the world’s recent AI explosion, America’s technology capital is ready to soar to even greater heights.
For the first time since 2014, the Golden State beat out Texas and New York to become home to the most Fortune 500 companies, with an impressive 57 companies within its borders. Texas and New York, which both tied for second, have 52 companies each.
Texas has proven to be tough competition in recent years, with companies like Tesla and pharmaceutical giant McKesson moving their headquarters to the Lone Star state to leverage its business-friendly policies like loose regulatory oversight and low taxes. So is New York, as America’s most populous city, remains the epicenter for banking and consulting firms.
Although five California-based companies dropped off the Fortune 500 list this year, the state beat out other competitors because nine companies headquartered there made the cut. Some newcomers include food delivery company DoorDash and real estate investment firm Prologis, cleaning product manufacturer Clorox, and software company Workday.

Liberal states seem to be more favorable for big business innovation

California has pretty much everything you could want minus the politics and the COL. It’s awesome to visit
I took a trip to Santa Barbara a few months ago and it is infinitely better than any FL or SC vacation destination I’ve taken. It has a Mediterranean climate, beautiful mountains, and a beautiful coastline.

Which explains why Californians are running to Texas by the tens of thousands... right?
Sounds like you guys can be self sufficient. You should secede and take your electoral votes with you

People are moving to California not only for economic opportunities but also for being by far the prettiest state in the country.

If I were rich enough to not give a shite about the taxes and COL I'd 100% want to live in rural California. It's freakin' beautiful.

I have a strong suspicion that random rich folks don’t care about day to day politics. Life’s too good to focus on stuff like that all the time

Which should explain why the state is sitting very pretty budget wise… right?

Why anyone would want to live here is beyond me?

This is probably not something California should be bragging about. All of the hair gel socialist (Newsome) big donors are thriving while the middle class business owners are squeezed and taxed out. They still have massive exodus of residents moving to Texas and Florida.

Imagine having all of those things and people are still leave in huge numbers. All California needs to do is simply not trip over it's own transexual dick and they can't even do that.

If I was mega wealthy, I would totally live in Lake Tahoe or Monterey Bay. Two of the prettiest areas I've ever seen.

Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

Compare the number "running" to the total population and report back.

The worst part of California is it is filled with Californians. Everything else about it is pretty awesome.
