Can anyone recommend a pool builder around New Orleans.

No need for the don't do it. I have thought this though and it is something I want. Looking for recommendations on a company who does good in ground pools(gunite). Would prefer a smaller builder who's been around a while and not one of the big box companies.

Check out the Home and Garden Show at the Superdome in March. Went last year and they had a whole bunch of local pool builders exhibiting there showing some of their work

I recommend Danny Elfers with Tropical Pools. Dude is reasonable and extremely reliable.

Kevin Knott at Crystal Pools did ours in 2010 (and also did repair work after a tree fell in it during Isaac). He also did a pool for a friend of ours. Does good work and he follows up with any issues we have from time to time (we've had very few).

Make sure whoever you hire is properly licensed and insured and the same for any subcontractors that they hire.
