It’s incredible the amount of people that don’t know the difference between law and policy. It makes absolutely zero difference if it is medically legal, recreationally legal or otherwise if your company doesn’t allow it and tests for it.

Be careful with the black crescent 9s from rouses. They’re like 12 servings per can IIRC. Didn’t know that at the time, and drank a full one on the beach at vacation. Would not advise… unless you have zero plans to be anywhere.

How do you prove/disprove THC intoxication?
I can almost see companies start to employ ex cops to be part of the safety team that can do field sobriety testing.

They're not legal anymore in LA since the 2024 legislative session. They were 50 mg per can, which is a pretty intense dose even for experienced consumers.

I think the max amount per can now is like 8mg.

Doesn’t go into effect until Aug ‘25 I believe.

I can too. That's the only way that you are going to have anything to go to court with if you do have to terminate someone for being intoxicated by THC on the job.

Issue is that companies have used the fact that the things they test are illicit to avoid accountability for specifically making those types of declarations.
No where in my company’s employee facing policies is it stated that THC is being tested for, or that a positive result can result in negative outcomes regardless of the legality of the source.

Yet again people finding any excuse to get high.

The answer to questions like this is would you rather a few hour buzz or be guaranteed that you keep your job for many years? The answer seems self explanatory.

but I don’t know if I should drink them because I’m subject to drug testing at work.

It shouldn’t have to be simplified to that level though. This is a discussion among grown adults; not 5-year old kids that you tell to do something because you said so.
There’s no reason for companies to be testing for whether or not you consumed THC in the past month if it’s perfectly legal to buy THC products at the store. That’s like saying if we found out you drank alcohol over the past month then you’re in trouble. It’s totally retarded and unnecessary.

Seeing those for sale in Georgia also, and I’m confused. I’m all for weed legalization, but Georgia doesn’t even really have medical, so explain it to me like I’m five, how this is being sold under current laws?
Federally, Delta 8 (derived from hemp) is legal. Most states have not made it illegal....yet. Delta 9 is kind of a gray area. Delta 9 will get you HAF and it is great if you have issues sleeping. If makes my sleepy, so if you are going to take it and go out, micro dose (cut a gummy into quarters and take them an hour or so apart).

Thank God if I don’t want to want to employ a stoner loser, I don’t have to.

No one is forcing you to work at a company that drug tests. I'd say that if your company has a no-THC policy and drug tests and you're asking if you can consume THC products, maybe you need it broken down like a 5-year old would.

What are the names of these drinks? I have not seen them

You people are such simple-minded morons

Good thing people can choose not to work for a-hole employers like you.
So you think someone relaxing and drinking a THC seltzer on a Saturday afternoon is grounds for firing, but someone getting hammered with alcohol over the weekend is perfectly innocent and acceptable? That doesn’t make any kind of rational or logical sense.

No, you’re just being an a-hole when it’s unnecessary and uncalled for just because you want to.
I’m asking whether or not employers in Louisiana have generally modified their drug-testing methods and policies to account for the legal THC products that are widespread and very commonplace in 2025. If you don’t know the answer then don’t say anything.

1 of those selzers makes for a great alternative to 3-4 beers.
Nice “floaty” buzz but still functional and not retarded high.

It’s very very slight. Like chugging a light beer.
I’ve had them frequently in the past and now not so much so. They’re fine, no big deal. Kinda more fun at first for most traditionally non-pot folks (like me).
