This would happen at my condo in BR back in the day when the power went out, there was a way to open the motor casing and release the gate, then slide it open.

I don't remember the exact mechanism and it's probably different from your gate any way, but there should be a way.

Most of them have a battery backup. Not sure how long that battery lasts though.

Depends on the type. The swing gates should have something holding the piston to the gate. Take that out and the gate should open.

ALL electric gate openers have manual disconnect switches, no need to pull pins.

All the baws on this board and no one thinks to just hook up a chain to the gate and pull it off it's hinges with their f250 king ranch?
