TBH, a lot of those mid-late 90s artists run together in my mind: Ty Herndon, Ty England, Wade Hayes, etc. so I could be wrong.
I don't think either of these announcements will have much of an impact in the country music world. It will take a big name to really make anyone do more than give it a sideways glance. The only reason anyone really paid attention a few years ago when Chelly Wright came out was because she had been in relationships with other well known artists - Brad Paisley and Vince Gill among others.

Billy Gilman released a video announcing he is gay. I just watched it and he comes off as trying way too hard to be emotional, with his long pauses. It's almost uncomfortable. Also, it's Billy Gilman. Why should anyone care? Not trying to be a jerk but he has been irrelevant since he was a child.
