Covington (late 80's - early 90's) - Tell me about Theo Von

Last week, I heard Theo Von telling some crazy stories on the Adam Corolla Podcast:
What neighborhood in Covington did Theo live in?
1) Peeping Tom-ing
2) David Duke lived in his neighborhood (shared a back fence) and took him to Franco's Athletic Club with him
3) His friends dad smelled his fingers and then self gratified into a camp fire.
4) Beauty Contest for dolled up nutrias (in Hammond)

Netflix special is pretty damned funny. He's not as natural and smooth as the big names in comedy but definitely entertaining. And a local boy. Went to LSU for a while after MTV reality shite show (road rules or something).

Had to google who Theo was bc I thought it rang a bell... Figured the old Road Rules dude had fell back into irrelevance like they all seem to do but no.. Good for him tho.
Also, he looks NOTHING like he did when I knew who he was. Aside from the obvi teeth job has he had other plastic surgery? Crazy how much he's changed since the early 2000's.

David Duke lived in Beau Rivage i think... so maybe Theo lived there?

Had the same response. Dude just tries too hard. The way he talks is like nails on a chalkboard. I will admit some of the stuff he said wasn't terrible, but for the most part, it was. I had to turn it off. I will not watch random standup on Netflix anymore. I watch one special and it suggests all this crap. This was the second one that was unwatchable.

Yeah, he's a Mandeville guy. Graduated from Mandeville High. Went to school with him. He was a cool guy in high school. He was (is) a very talented guy. Used to recite some cool poems to the school. He was also a very down to ear guy. Seemed to like everyone and everyone like him. Not surprised by his success.
Duke lived in Beau Rivage.
His full last name is Vonkurnatowski (I can see why he shortened it for show biz) and his parents are big in New Orleans. They own the Orpheum Theater and Tipitinias.

I'm friends with his sister, W. She's a tad batshit. But can be a sweet gal.
Definitely happy for the guy. He's stuck with stand-up and making a living with it.

He did go to grade school in the Covington Public Schools. He was in my classes 1st through 3rd grade. He was the "class clown" then.

David Duke still lives and owns a house in Beau Rivage. His yard is hideous, he doesn't live to far from the front of it..I don't think Theo Von grew up in the neighborhood. Will have to check with my sisters though.
