Dedicated Right-Hand Turn Lane, Do You Yield(no sign) to Oncoming Left Turners?

Hotly debated topic in my office today. A few people got angry and said its the law that they yield, sign or no. I showed them the current state law(GA) where its the law that the oncoming traffic must yield, not right turners, unless you have a sign. They still didnt believe me
What's it like in your state?

I've wondered this too.
There is an intersection by the house with a dedicated right hand turning lane that includes a yield sign. If opposing left hand turning traffic has a green light, not a green arrow, which yield supersedes the other? Do I need to yield while turning right, or do they need to yield while turning left. Keep in mind, there is a yield sign in this case.

Sign or signal overrules, but other than that right turn has ROW. Left turn should always yield unless they have a green turn signal and RH is red.

the law usually says if you have a yield, you must yield.
The other mindfrick in our area is they have added flashing yellow left turn signals that also have a sign that says you must yield in the same place the right turners have a yield sign

What I thought as well, but I guess in Georgia they used to teach the contrary

If the right hand turner has red lights in front of them, they should yield to traffic. If they have greens in front of them then they have the right of way.

No.
No, man.
shite no, man.
Even if you're in a straight-right option lane, you don't yield to someone turning left from the other direction.

Left hand turners must ALWAYS yield to other traffic unless they have a protected arrow.
Basic shite like this being a topic of discussion scares the shite out of me regarding the driving ability of the general public.

Right turners have the right of way unless there is a yield sign there. People are idiots on the road.

You are telling me. It was brought up because one guy almost got into a fight at lunch because he thought he had the right of way(left turner). I told him differently, like I said above and showed them/him the law. They still didnt believe me. I am from out of state, so not sure what its like going through Drivers Ed in Georgia, but all the locals seemed to think lefts had the right of way. There was screaming involved(not by me

In Baton Rouge at the intersection of Old Jefferson and Highland, those left hand turners DGAF about the right hand turn lane.

Well how is a right hand turner supposed to know if a left hand turner has a green arrow or not? As far as I know, green arrows are protected turns, so they left hand turner doesn't need to yield to a right hand turner.

does the right turn lane enter at the intersection? Simple + intersection? left turners yields to all oncoming traffic.
if the turn lane enters the next road some distance downstream (triangle median between the lane going straight and the turn lane), the oncoming traffic who turned left are no longer "turning" but are now on the main roadway. in that instance, right turner/mergers must yield ROW to traffic already on the roadway.

Yeah, but that's not what the poster to whom I replied said. He said right hand turner always has the right of way unless stated otherwise. There are plenty of intersections with no yield sign for right hand turners, but a green left turn arrow for oncoming traffic.
I'd imagine the right hand turner is supposed to yield in that situation as well, but his post suggested otherwise.

On paper, but forget about it in BR and DS.
