Denmark’s version of The U.S. Navy Seals: The Frogman Corps

LINK
The basic Frogman Course is nine months. Each year 500–600 applicants start the course, and since its creation in 1957, only 311 have completed the training and become a Frogman.
They’re trained to be combat and rescue swimmers and advanced scuba divers.
Head nets are used to hide the silhouette of the head when surfacing from below. Human eyes are good at noticing human-like features, thats why you see faces in random stuff. The goal of camo is to make your features not look obviously human, and one of the most human feature is the shape of your head and shoulders.
This doggy right here is showcasing a suit worn by their loyal companions in battle.
Here’s a link to a documentary explaining in depth their training:

I mean, I respect the hell out of any fighting unit that brings a scuba equipped chihuahua with them into battle.

This is what I’d imagine a meeting of Owlie’s ex-lovers would look like:

But do they actually do anything?

Looks like they have had multiple deployments in Afghanistan and Iraq. Also counter terrotism with ships pirated in the Middle East.

This whole post seems like BS.
Are you kidding me with that dog?

The Frogman Corps was involved in operations in Afghanistan such as Task Force K-Bar and in Iraq.[9] From 2008 until the end of 2014, the Frogman Corps was involved in counter-piracy operations as part of Operation Ocean Shield.[9] On 5 February 2010, ten Frogman Corps aboard HDMS Absalon (L16) conducted a counter-piracy mission in the Gulf of Aden approaching the Antigua and Barbuda-flagged merchant vessel Ariella by rigid hull inflatable boat which had been hijacked by six armed Somali pirates.[10][11] They scaled the side of the ship and freed the 25 crew, who had locked themselves in a secure room, and continued to search the vessel for the pirates who had however fled.[11]

Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark passed selection and completed continuation training to become a badged Frogman, in the course of which he earned the nickname "Pingo".[7]

Task Force Kbar was like a 6-8month operation.
That’s pretty BA for the crown prince to finish training though.

So they boarded a ship that didn't have pirates on it and rescued the mariners that were already safe in the safe room?

I actually met a retired Frogman in Spain while visiting a friend.
I went almost straight from a flight out of Salt Lake City, to a Christmas party my friend's neighbor was having. I ended up having many drinks, the jetlag caught up with me and I ended up falling asleep at the dining room table as 12-15 of us were chatting. All of a sudden this loud, booming voice shouted across the table, "ARE WE BORING YOU?!"
It was the Frogman.
