I have been having random rashes show up on the tops of both feet lately. They are red, dry, and raised a little bit like an allergic reaction, but don't itch. I thought athlete's foot was something in between your toes, so what gives?

I have walked two entire days in the past month after my boots(2 different pairs) got completely filled with water, so I thought it was just them wearing a rash into my feet. They aren't wet anymore, and this shite is still happening

When I get Athlete's foot, it itches to no fricking end. Also, I've never really had it on top of my foot. In between the toes and on the bottoms of the foot mostly.

When I get AF it is usually on the bottom of my feet and between my toes but doesn't itch. Get some Lotramin and try it for a few days. If that doesn't work, go to the Dr.

The heels were peeling pretty bad the other day, but that went away in a day with me not doing anything. I'd post a pic, but I am waiting for the friend-banging-4am-gf's-future ex to post a pic first

My roommate just said it was foot syphilis. The "rash" on my right foot is going away now. It's not like I sleep with my shoes on, so I have no idea wtf is going on

Might be a fungus. Go swimming or soak them in a solution of 9 parts water and 1 part bleach. Might not help, but WILL NOT hurt to try it.

Pee on your feet in the shower, it helps.

Doesn't sound like athletes foot. It usually presents in what is called a moccasin distribution meaning on the side and bottoms of the feet, and is usually dry and peeling looking and itchy.

Sounds like you got some stanky feet.

ETA: You should probably go see a doctor though. Doesn't sound like athlete's foot at all.

Doesn't smell other than the normal sweaty foot in boots all day long smell, which isn't bad at all.

Right foot rash is gone and left foot one is still there. Weird shite

Pretty sure it's athletes feet. Wash them real good and dry them no socks when you don't have to and use athlete foot medicine

Spray it with Lysol or some such for a couple of days. If you want you can get something specifically for athlete's foot but Lysol will do the trick too. If it hasn't disappeared by next week then it may just be something with your socks that your foot doesn't like. If it doesn't get worse then it probably isn't worth worrying about.

But if it spreads or gets significantly worse that's when you call in a doc because you probably have AIDS.

athlete's foot is a fungal infection. there are different types and different manifestations.

eta:
3 main types
quote:

Toe web infectionToe web infection camera.gif usually occurs between the fourth and fifth toes. The skin becomes scaly, peels, and cracks. Some people also may have an infection with bacteria. This can make the skin break down even more.

Moccasin type infectionMoccasin type infection camera.gif may start with a little soreness on your foot. Then the skin on the bottom or heel of your foot can become thick and crack. In bad cases, the toenails get infected and can thicken, crumble, and even fall out. Fungal infection in toenails needs separate treatment.

Vesicular type infectionVesicular type infection camera.gif usually begins with a sudden outbreak of fluid-filled blisters under the skin. The blisters are usually on the bottom of the foot. But they can appear anywhere on your foot. You also can get a bacterial infection with this type of athlete's foot.

Step in cow manure barefooted then just walk around all day barefooted. That's an old school cure for athletes foot. It actually works too. I tried it once and was amazed.

Yes, the athlete's foot was gone by the next morning. My dad told me about it. He grew up poor as dirt in north Louisiana. If you don't believe me, try it.

i think i'd pass on the cure and get some lotromin. i've heard manure works, but you could end up with something else if you have any cuts or sores.
