Do you tip for Sam's club delivery?

If I make a big order I'll usually tip like $10.

HOWEVER, the past few times like half the stuff I order isn't delivered.

No more.

I have completely given up tipping. The closest I get to any tips is when I tell the lady that cuts my hair to keep the change.

F’ tipping totally.

Yes. It is a service that saves me time at the expense of someone else's vehicle.

No, it's actually against Walmart and Sam's policy.

I used to part time there and it's a big no no to accept tips.

ETA: oops I was thinking curbside pickup, not delivery.

This used to be my attitude. However, if they are not delivering half my order if not saving me anything. Now I still have to drive to the place and get stuff.

There should be a way to tip AFTER delivery

Not selecting your own groceries is worse than fat people using motor carts to shop because of their "disability"

I'm buying water bottles and toilet paper. I don't need to sniff them like the fishmonger.

I see you fixed it, but for delivery there is a tip screen. A few weeks ago, I bought a TV and didn’t feel like dealing with the hassle of bringing it home, so I ordered it online and got same day delivery for next to nothing, but was shocked when I got to the tip screen. I tipped 10% on 250 dollar TV. To some on here I either under tipped or over tipped.

I may be wrong, but I don't think delivery people work for Walmart directly. There's a guy I work with that part times with some delivery service. Kinda like Uber, but for deliveries. He'll check what orders are available before he leaves work and swing by and grab a couple from Walmart etc on his way home.

Think it's a decent little side gig for him.

I think this summarizes the problem perfectly.

Nobody knows what the flip is appropriate so how can we know we’ve “done the right thing”? The whole thing is a mess.

You may have the option of delivery or shipping. Same order, one delivered by UPS or USPS or FX the other by another person who works delivering things.
Same order: what's the logic of tipping?

When Christmas comes we do gift drivers we recognize (we are out in the country and get to know the people who have our routes.)

You can. Read the fine print. You have 24 hours to edit a tip.

They make money whether you tip or not. I give them a pack of shrimp. They love it.

It is called a Spark driver. Walmart owns the service but the drivers do not work for Walmart. Tipping is the only way to make the gig worth doing. Walmart keeps lowering the pay per delivery. Used to be a pretty good side job, but it is hit and miss now.

yes!! We order Sam’s for work and the last time they delivered all of the cups and plates were out of their plastic mixed in with the forks - it was a mess

The forks coming out of the box is understandable, but how do plates and cups come out of their plastic sleeves??

I give $5 - $10 on Curbside just because. And they always take it.
