Acupuncture is amazing. I have used it a number of times for different purposes. Go see Candace B. Warner, MD. She is really good and is the is the only board certified Physician Acupuncturist in Louisiana

Highly recommend. I tried several different methods over the years for a leg injury and dry needling is the only thing that’s seems to help. Within 2 treatments the pain was gone.

You are correct that some PTs offer dry needling but it is not the same thing as acupuncture

The thousand needles only started helping once the "potpourri" was lit.

Acupuncture won't cure a physical defect like a disc herniation or torn labrum. But it is still incredibly effective for muscular issues, tension, general well being. I did a bunch of physical therapy after a car accident, had horrible neck pain with a herniated disc. Acupuncture pretty much relieved all of the tension in my neck, shoulders, etc. Instant and lasting relief. I try to go for tune-ups every month or two.
In New Orleans, go to New Orleans Acupuncture. Val Viosca, one of the first practicing acupuncturists in the state. She's been doing it for 20 years or so.
The needles stuck all over you can be a little uncomfortable, even after you get used to it, but it works. It's like each needle is a tap straight into your tension that lets it all out.

They stick needles in you and then hook you up to a bug zapper then send you home with some Chinese m&ms
It doesn't work

I’m in therapy for either a rotator cuff or something else and my therapist does acupuncture after each session

You need to see a chiropractor if you want to be healed

When I was younger and still playing ball I had a torn shoulder labrum that caused me a lot of pain. I tried physical therapy to help relieve the pain, but found that acupuncture gave me the most relief by far. I would highly recommend it in while continuing your physical therapy exercises.

I once took a blue pill that gave me an erection for over four hours. I had to get acupuncture done on my member. Erection went away shortly thereafter.

Thanks for the help. What is the average cost for getting this done?

It's pseudo-science just like chiropractors. There is no science to back any of it up. If there's any benefit, it's simply the placebo effect.

Why don't you baws work on your chakras? Acupuncturist use the meridians of the body for their acupuncture points. The meridian points of the body are considered 2ndary points where as the chakras are the major energy points of the body.
charkas:
Many people can feel a spot or two and not know what it is. Many runners feel the runners high, which is just the chakra located in your stomach. When I was tripping off mushrooms, I eventually noticed that my body high was radiating from my base chakra point, at the base of my spine. I've heard many a friends talk about after smoking weed, getting a good fuzzy feeling around their head, or somewhere else, which ended up just being a chakra point opening up.
