Does anyone use some kind of mattress cooling system?

We turn the thermostat to 67° at night and have two fans going and I still sweat at night. If it was up to me I'd forgo the fans, put the thermostat on 69 or 70 and throw the comforter off the bed but the better half insists we maintain the status quo or she can't sleep. I need something to keep us cool without freezing the entire house. I don't want to contribute to flooding Obama's beach mansion

The best mattress cooling system I've found over many years is the central AC set to 60, a portable AC in the bedroom set likewise, ceiling fan on medium speed, and a warm shower before bed.

Bamboo sheets, a fan, and a window unit set to 65, coupled with a cooling mattress.
Throw a nice fuzzy blanket on top and I sleep better than kings

You have a memory foam mattress? If so, need to go to latex. Memory foam holds heat

Also, you can try those bed in a box mattresses. You get to keep them a certain amount of time and then return them if you don’t like, so theoretically you could try all the companies, return them and then probably find the one you liked best as a test mattress for a fraction of the price

Had got a latex topper for mine and made a world of difference in how cool it was.
I never tried one and don't know anyone with it but Bedjet has always looked interesting to try.

We do 67 at night, bamboo sheets, ceiling fan, a “cooling mattress pad” off of Amazon to create barrier between memory foam, and I just flip my half of the comforter over on top of the wife so she gets doubled up and I’m cool
ETA:
Heard awesome things about the Avocado brand latex mattress topper

Not eating so many Caniac’s for lunch helps a lot too.

A/C at 74°F, ceiling fan on low.
Sleep at least 6 consecutive hours.
Your internal thermostat is fricked up.

Window units are the 8th wonder of the world. So much better than central units, mini splits, etc.

It’s called weight watchers or jenny Craig I think?

Hard to beat having a window unit in the bedroom on high cool and a ceiling fan over your bed.
If that doesn’t work, nothing will.

I've looked at Bedjet but I'm not sure cold air blowing directly on me beneath the covers is the answer either.

I’d revisit that comforter in July talk with the ole lady. Tell her to buy a twin comforter so it just covers her while you sleep. I get hot with a comforter year round.

The only reason I didn’t completely lose my shite after Ida. We were almost 2 weeks with no power and we ran the freezer, fridge and window unit off the genny

First, get yourself a reliable thermometer and hygrometer to determine what the temperature and relative humidity actually is in your house/bedroom. Most likely, the RH in your bedroom is higher than you'd like. Go buy a decent dehumidifier and put it in your bedroom. Lowering the humidity will help a ton with feeling hot and it will help your unit cool more efficiently. Don't rely on a thermostat alone, especially if it has quite a few miles on it.
ETA: And I don't care what any of these jacklegs say, having a good central unit and also needing a window unit in the bedroom and running them all in the 60° range just to sleep comfortably isn't normal. I've lived in homes with only window units and had less of a problem sleeping than that.
Get a dehumidifier and a couple of floor fans. Don't rely on just your ceiling fans. Keep the air moving in your home even when your unit kicks off. Moving air and lower humidity will keep you cooler than your unit alone.

I have BedJet and Ooler. Love both. Not cheap but sleep is important for your health.
It does make it harder to sleep when I’m not in my own bed. First world problems…

I’ve had a BedJet for a couple years and it does make a big difference. Freaking awesome when you first get in bed, but usually leads to my feet getting cold.
I recently got an Ooler sleep system by Chilisleep and it’s pretty awesome. I never sweat or wake up hot now. Sometimes I have the opposite problem and wake up cold lol. Do realize it just uses fans to cool the water so it won’t get much cooler than your house, but it’s removes the heat between you and your mattress. They are kinda pricey….I got one on sale around Christmas time.
