I have some coat spray I apply on my dogs and it seems to help with this.

Where do you live?I’m not seeing any gnats recently in Grant Parish.
Some years we get buffalo gnats which can make life miserable, will even kill chickens.

Haven’t seen any love bugs this year either, glad for that.

You can use permethrin spray, but be careful if you have a cat. It's safe for them once it has dried, but not when it's wet.

Of course, if your cat is licking your dog's dick, you've got one helluva brave, yet sick-in-the-head, dog.

Don't currently have a dog, just the term of endearment I've given those nasty pests. Asking more for human consumption when they're constantly buzzing your face while outdoors in this heat.

Vanilla extract and water. Mix and spray. It’s a good repellent.

Cut a hole in the seat of your pants and they will get out of your face. Keep in mind that the ones in your face were recently around someone with a hole in the seat of their pants.....

I was told this once by a laborer about 70 years old. He and I were digging a ditch together, mostly him, and the gnats were thick. He never complained about them, they likened to have drove me insane. He told me the hole in the pants trick. Do not know if it actually works but I do know his pants had holes in them and he did not seem to be bothered by gnats.

I've both lived in Louisiana and owned dogs almost my entire life (I'm in my 50's) and I've never heard of this?

Is your dogs decker possessed? Maybe dead?
