How the hell do you even see what’s going on around you. I’ve been seeing this a lot lately. Normally with full size trucks and suvs

Some people don't use them to start with and just never notice.

Dumb, I know.

probably tucked them in to park and never let them back out. I have to do mine manually to park in the garage to have room to get my son in and out of my wife's car and have been left looking like a jackass staring at myself in the passenger mirror because I forgot to extend it back out.

I don't want you staring into my truck from behind through the side mirrors.

It's none of your damned business.

most wouldn't see what's going on around them anyway. Too busy staring at their phones.

Pretty sure the law requires at least 2 functioning mirrors, one of which must be on the left (driver) side. I wonder if having them tucked back and thus unusable could result in a ticket?

It is against the law

Because that housing assembly is about 1,000 bucks if you have to replace it when it gets broken. I was driving a Chevy SUV and mine got whacked to the tune of 1,200 for the assembly and 200 to install it. My deductible is 1,500 so it was all out of pocket.

It could, but I've never been pulled over in my jeep with the doors off and no mirrors.

I fold mine in when driving in narrow lanes because of women drivers

My fault bro. I forgot to put them back out after I backed into my parking spot. Once I left lunch, I was catching up on email and text and wasn’t worried about what was going on around me. Don’t worry, I hade my lane assist alerts on.

Yeh, I understand, but I bet if you would get pulled over for speeding, they will tack on the no mirrors offense also.

When I see that, I just assume that person's side mirror got completely folded in the last place they parked and they didn't notice it until they were on the road and they will fix it when they get out.. or it's broke or something.. But it seems like if it is broke that's something you would get fixed ASAP because I depend on mine.. Especially the one on the drivers side.

Not while I'm using my white privilege.

ETA: I had a Port Allen cop pull me over because he thought I was texting, when he saw I was using my GPS he led the way to where I was going. didn't say anything about the mirrors.

Most are power so you just press a button to fold them in

Poors. My car has a setting that folds the mirrors when the doors are locked and unfolds them when I start it back up.
