i dont know shite about AC and the parts..
so it looks i need to replace the duct work in my attic. Due to the terrible humidity and old insulation, it appears water is dripping from the duck work in certain spots which is dripping on my living room ceiling. I noticed some small spots yesterday. Roof is 7 years old and all the spots line up with the ac vents or under the duck work.
Anyone have suggestions on who i can call to get the old duct work replaced and new insulation?

Obviously, call a new duck. But I guess, actually, an old duck could possibly still do new work.

Do you have metal ducks or flexible hose ducks?

In all seriousness, send me a message. We will have a crew in BR for some changeout work next week if you want someone to come take a look.

Betz sheet metal. All the ac/heat guys are constantly over their picking up materials.

after looking like an idiot
can anyone recommend someone to do this ASAP. i would love to get this done before the damage becomes much bigger than patch jobs

I did a/c work for 40 years, its an easy fix to do yourself almost for free
what happens is, mice get in the attic and tear the paper and insulation away from the bottom of the metal ductwork. this lets the metal "sweat" when the a/c is on and gives them a water source.
all you need to do is buy a roll of 3" wall insulation, go in attic, make a complete wrap around the pipe over the areas with torn missing insulation, then wrap it with duct tape.
to have ductwork replaced throughout the house costs like $1000-$1500 or do what I said and for a $20 roll of insulation LINK and a $6 roll of duct tape (don't buy the cheap stuff because it doesn't last and comes unglued) its fixed like new again and go have a beer.
just get everything ahead of time and then wait for rainy weather like the last few days so its not so hot. doing it at night after all day rain makes it even cooler up there.
