That Forbes piece is a typical hack job. The writer just had to get his political opinion in.

They are up all the time. You can see them pretty regularly at Barksdale refueling.

I know right. Regardless how you feel about masks that was terribly placed. “In todays weather, we’ll see highs of 76. Also, seatbelts save lives. On friday we may see some rain”.

Wth was that??

This.

I was enjoying the first part, then the cuck had to infuse his virology experience in there and somehow blame the E6B being airborne on the fact that Orange Man Bad for not wearing a mask...

shite show.

The Navy has 16 Mercuries. One often is in the air, and it’s not unheard-of for two to be airborne at the same time.

The US stopped 24/7 airborne operation of Looking Glass aircraft in 1990, since then they maintain a 24/7 alert status on the ground.

Actually, there are two different platforms -

1. Tacamo (Take Charge And Move Out) is typically the platform that is airborne more often. It is a communications relay platform that sends messages from ground commands to the nuclear triad ...

2. ABNCP (AirBorne Nuclear Command Post) also known as Looking Glass is launched for exercises and during times like our current situation and provides command and control when ground based commands are inoperable..
