I grew up in Metairie. Lagers was the only bar I would go to if going to a bar in Metairie. When it opened, it was the first non-cheesy bar that I knew of.
Winston’s in Old Metairie was the other, but people consider that area as an extension of New Orleans.

Remember that trampoline place on Vets near Bonnabel? Place was a safety hazard. It would stay open for about 90 minutes in today’s legal climate.
