Anyone have any book recommendations about Elvis Presley? I'm looking for a book to read to pass the time and I would like to know his story better.

Get the two books by Alanna Nash:
Elvis Aaron Presley: revelations from the Memphis Mafia
The Colonel: the extraordinary story of Colonel Tom Parker and Elvis Presley

If you enjoy fiction, I’d recommend William F. Buckley’s “Elvis in the Morning”. The novel is set within Elvis’ historical life and career. I really liked it.

Last Train to Memphis and Careless Love, a two-volume biography by Peter Guaralnik. Very good.

Being Elvis: A Lonely Life by Ray Connolly, excellent!
I have probably read a dozen books about Elvis. This book had some info I didn't know. It was very well written and interesting.

The last Elvis book I read was in 2020 and was by Joe Esposito, his body guard and buddy who he met in the Army and who was pretty much with Elvis constantly from 1960-ish til he died.
Lots of good stuff about the Colonel, Elvis’ folks, his wives, and his encounters with Sinatra, the Beatles, etc.

Thank you all for the suggestions. Looks like I'll probably draw straws on which one I'll read first. Looking forward to reading about Elvis's life
.

I took your suggestion and bought Good Rockin' Tonight by Joe Esposito. Easy read and very informative about Elvis. Thank you for the recommendation. Joe does a good job of capturing how much Elvis had it made and at the same time how much stress comes with that level of fame.
I am considering ronricks' suggestions of the books by Alanna Nash next.
