Ever walked on the moving walkway in an airport?

This lady had her leg amputated by one at Bangkok airport. It looks like an escalator style as opposed to a belt but that’s gruesome.

In every still picture I’ve seen about this she seems to be taking it rather well.

Geez, that's terrible. I normally don't use them, but always try to jump over the landing spot where it meets up. Will avoid them now.

In Taiwan we saw a lady walking backwards on one.
She was laughing, walking faster and faster and actually said (in english)...."why is Starbucks not getting any closer?" when she saw us laughing.

I've never touched the gap ever since I was a little kid and my mom told me my shoelace could get sucked in and it would kill me.

I remember the Birmingham Public Library having a glass case of kids' shoes that had been torn to pieces by the escalator. It was traumatizing and to this day I always make sure to step over the end and make sure my laces aren't caught

Yeah, I've stubbed my toe and reacted more dramatically than this lady appears, having just had a leg dismembered from her.

Terrible Video
Woman in China steps over edge then falls through the grate and dies after getting crushed in the mechanical gears. Sad but she was able to save her child and probably sacrificed herself doing so.
