Spin-off from another thread. What’s your favorite Clower story? Here’s mine. (First half of the video). Youtube

All I remember about him was that he was a big Mississippi State fan and a good friend of Dale Brown's.

He was married to the sister of one of my granddaddy’s best friends. He had some great stories. I met Mr Clower a few times and he was always a gracious and humble guy.

Saw this in the other thread too. I've been on a YouTube Clower marathon for the last hour

Amazing to me that someone can be so entertaining and yet be totally clean in his storytelling.

Yea, I used to be addicted to Jerry. Great man, and a great American for sure.
Yall remember Lewis Grizzard? Big time Georgia grad and Dawg fan who wrote a humor column for the Atlanta Urnal Constipation. He was the only reason to buy the paper. He put out a bunch of tapes just like Jerry did. I wonder if Jerry and Lewis ever appeared together at the same venue?

I’m pretty sure he is on the Clower Pandora station sometimes. What’s the Cajun comedian that was around about the same time? He’s on there sometimes too. Roy D Mercer is on there as well.

Justin Wilson is the Cajun comedian. I listen to his Pandora station, always has a good mix of Wilson, Jerry Clower, Lewis Grizzard, James Gregory, some Bill Engvall and Jeff Foxworthy as well as others mixed in. Even some old Andy Griffith standup.

Buying a chandelier for the church. Yada yada yada something like,
1. No money to pay for it.
2. Nobody knows how to spell it when ordering it from the Sears Roebuck catalog
3. Once we get it, nobody knows how to play it.

Watching a funeral procession in yahoo city I asked who died, so-in-so replied without batting an eye, the person in the back of the hearse.
