FedEx Question: Delivery Exception: no attempt made?

Is there any way to interpret that other than "we're paid already and don't give a frick when you get your shite?" I consider myself reasonable and reasons like weather delays or other serious issues I can accept. But to just not attempt a delivery? I paid several bucks for shipping, do I bitch at FedEx or do I need to talk to the seller?

You need to talk to the seller and have them talk to FedEx. Fedex may attempt to deliver tomorrow.
Talk to the seller, let them know you didn’t get your package and go from there.

Been happening to me so much, frick FedEx and UPS. I order time-sensitive things for my business pretty much on a daily basis and it’s pretty screwed up to tell me that my package is going to be delivered on “10/11/20 between 9:30 AM and 11:30 AM” then just never attempt the delivery, and keep kicking the can down the road for 3-4 more days when my shite is sitting on a truck because the delivery driver is too lazy to make more than 1 delivery per 6 hours.
It’s so annoying because there’s no consequences for them, no legitimate customer service line, no option for me to pick it up myself, or even an attempt to apologize or give a refund, and no way to change those problems because of problem #1

I have called both companies customer service lines and arranged to pick up packages myself multiple times.

Happens all the time now
They probably filled the truck to the max and there straight up was not enough time for the driver to deliver that much shite if there was anything on the route that took a few seconds longer than the "calculation" to get done.
UPS and Fedex are both making way more than enough to get more trucks on the road and get stuff delivered on time but they give no fricks.

After it’s already out for delivery and unexpectedly becomes postponed? On the same day?

My favorite with FedEx, and it has happened multiple times is the "Attempted Delivery" while I'm keeping an eye and checking tracking. I'm home all day, the package doesn't require a signature, my office faces my driveway, my dog barks when anyone comes up the lane, and sometimes there are three or more people here too. They lie. Never had this happen with UPS or USPS, just FedEx.

My office is a second floor walk up. My desk sits by a window overlooking the parking lot. All the time I see them pull up in the parking lot, sit there for a few seconds and then drive off. “Delivery attempted - No one there to accept package.” They are just too lazy to walk up the stairs.

That’s rich.
I drove for fedex while in law school. I can assure you, they demand a lot out of their drivers.
The day starts with losing your trucks around 5/530 depending on the day of the week. After sorting through thousands of packages, you then fine sort your packages into stops.
Once you’re done, it’s a sprint to your route from the station, which is usually 15-20 minutes away from the city.
The first deadline on deliveries was 10:30 (priority). So one would have roughly 2 hours to make 20-50 stops.
When I worked, I was hitting 20-22 stops an hour.
Do you live in Nola?

It means the package was lost. Have had that happen with UPS.

That’s the driver.
Ask him why he said he attempted the delivery.

Explains a lot actually.

Yep. I’ve had this multiple times, even before Covid became an excuse.

FedEx is shite! I always try to ship or receive USPS. They seem to be more consistent these days, odd I know.

Makes me really nervous when there’s something illegal in the box.

A while back I finally got a package that I had been waiting for years, actually had forgot about it until a guy showed up with it...turns out the plane my package was on had crashed in the ocean and this dude survived with it on a deserted island for years before later being rescued at sea.

FedEx sucks now.
They delivered one of my packages and said they couldn't deliver the other bc no one was at the address.
I received one package how the hell was I not there for the other! I had to go pick it up myself bc they claimed that three days in a row.
Basically it weighed over 20 pounds and the driver was simply to lazy to deliver it by himself.

We saw the FedEx truck stop at the curb in front of our office, but the driver never even got out of the truck. Drove away. I then got a notification that he could not deliver to me because my building was closed, which was complete bullshite.
I pulled a Karen and sent a tweet to FedEx customer service. We never saw that driver again.

FedEx is now the Burger King of shipping.
UPS - Chick file a (they seem to try)
USPS - McDonald's (just ok, eventually might get your package)
FedEx - Burger King (no one gives a shite)

I live in BR and I’ve sat there for 4 hours watching the live delivery one day when I had a really important shipment coming in and I shite you not, the guy made maybe 1 delivery per 45 minutes. We’re not particularly the “good labor” capital of the world though
