If our DA doesn't get a guilty verdict he probably won't be re-elected. Get the guilty verdict, let them appeal, and let them lose at the Tx CCA
He won't, at least not for 1st degree murder.
Anthony will either plead down, or be convicted of, a lesser charge.

why do you care?
Because I'm curious and this is a message board.
He created a GoFundMe on the same day his son was stabbed to death and asked for $240K. For what? That is a 100% sympathy play. And he is less than $10K short of his goal.
If he wants to set up a foundation in his son's name, then I can understand that. But that was not his stated goal.

This one was started on behalf of Austin's mother:
Goal: $150K
GoFundMe for Austin's mom
So the Mom wants $150K and the Dad wants $240K.
At least the one for the mom states a tangible goal. The dad's goal is just to get money for his son's death.

We are honoring the life of Austin Metcalf, a sweet, young, athlete who was tragically killed on Wednesday morning. Please consider donating to help support his mother Meghan and twin brother Hunter.
My name is Kari Ordas and I own a local pizzeria that Meghan and the boys work at. I have included Marlee Needham, Meghan's sister and the aunt of Austin and Hunter to help with this GoFundMe so Meghan doesn't have to worry about this while she is grieving.
Any money raised will be given to Meghan and Hunter to help cover funeral costs and any future legal battles they may endure going forward.
I started this GoFundMe specifically for Meghan and Hunter because they, as well as Austin, are beloved members of our Halo community and we are completely heartbroken over this tragic and devastating event.

Hopefully it is that he knows his family wants to do something , but they for obvious reasons haven't settled on what that will look like. But they knew to strike while the interest is high and the iron is hot.

I guess the parents are separated or divorced? Looks icky to have rival GFMs for the same incident.

LOL! Some people have no shame. These are all GoFundMe appeals for Karmelo.

And another one created for the Metcalf family by some dude in Ohio.

stand against bullying?
Yes. It has been alleged that the twins bullied young Mr. Anthony and his girlfriend. That is what allegedly caused him to show up at the track meet with a knife. And then the bullying allegedly continued.
Everything is just allegations at this point.
That is why I predicted the charge of 1st degree murder won't hold up.

The current narrative by race baiters like Tariq Nasheed on Facebook is that the brothers both bullied the murderer and he brought a knife to protect himself.

How does GFM prevent fraudulent fundraising like that? Yikes!

If I'm on that jury, I'm sending a message to my community that it is NEVER okay to bring weapons to school in this here county in the Great State of Texas.

Did this bullying also cause young Mr Anthony to stumble into the wrong tent? I know when I feel bullied and afraid I often go seek out comfort in my tormentors tent!

holy shite, very definition of premeditation, punk was seeking out retribution and was in no way in a dangerous/threatening environment until he chose to seek it out, and armed of course, bet defense would love to slide this over the county line into Dallas county

Right. I said that was before we built here and we would drive up from Plano to visit my cousin. We moved to Plano in 2004.

I honestly don’t know why there are so many but were they started by the parents or by other people? I don’t know the parents. Seems like the one owned by the pizzeria was likely done on her behalf bc she worked there. Thats the one I would have expected. Dont know anything about the others.

This is the actual tweet. The suspected white supremacist, Jim Crow BS, Danial Perry comparison, and possibly the honor student need to have a community note requested (his 3.7 GPA either non-weighted GPA or even more so if it’s weighted doesn’t seem high for centennial to be in Honors Society).
Tariq is a huge race baiter who needs to be fact checked.

Maybe it will all go to a charity to help educate about the harms of bullying
